Note on the Ridley thing: I was looking for more permanent slowdowns to his speed since that'd make things easier to visualize and still last forever, so that's why I forgot about the Timer. But, I did test it, and yes, the Timer will make Ridley even slower, so the wind ends up pushing him backwards for its duration! Buuuut then the effect goes away, and Ridley moves past the portal, rendering the setup over with. Kinda funny, but the effects are less permanent so make of that what you will
I think size change can affect a lot the speed, so maybe a reverse lightning before the side B is more effective to slow down ridley when the effect stop ? also, does mini or mega smash (special smash) affect ridley side B ? if not, it could be very funny to see ridley going VERY fast for his own side, but if it does change the side B speed, it s also an effective way to slow him down
11:25 the reason the first dedede took 12.6% was because of the 1v1 multiplier. If the other dededes had been spawned in initially, they all would have taken the same damage.
Fact: If you play bowser in mega custom smash, give him a super mushroom, use a metal box, equip a spirit that increases weight, and add a backfired lightning, you will ALMOST have a character with a weight comparable to your mom.
I feel like it wouldn’t because king dededes absorb is bigger than kirbys and you have to spawn it right when u get absorbed and since kirbys is smaller, he might not reach on time

for the final smash could you try getting a double final smash spirit and using the final smash just before sudden death? it might give you the second one inside sudden death. although if it does i imagine it will probably require frame perfect timing.
@@emilia935 To be fair, it's somewhat well-known that Snake can stick a C4 onto Charizard and get two kills when the latter goes for an up throw (or maybe it only works with the actual sticky bomb item, it feels like if the Snake thing worked people would use that for the demonstration because it's triggered manually instead of timed).
In a 3-player or more stock battle with spirits on, would KOing a player with the Jam FS Charge effect and removing them from play return the FS Charge rate back to normal for all the other players?

If you wanted to do a minor glitch speed round, I know a fair few minor glitches that aren't widely known about: If you play on Distant Planet in custom smash, with the speed set to slow or fast, all pellets dropped from flowers will automatically change to red 1 pellets. If you bury an opponent with a thrown pitfall seed (has to hit them directly for maximum effect), then hit them with Link's final smash, they will be very heavily spiked, seemingly taking the knockback dealt to grounded opponents by the seed. This works with other bury moves too, but this one's the most interesting. If you reset training mode just as the bobber from Isabelle's side special becomes active, her jostle strength (the pushing effect when walking/running into opponents) becomes very strong. How much stronger it gets depends on the exact timing, but the optimal timing has a very strong effect. If you land on the ground out of certain up specials before their animations end (such as Captain Falcon's), then jump or run off the platform, your air speed limit will be lower than usual, seemingly the same as your reduced air speed during special fall after using the moves. This wears off if you double jump, land again or grab a ledge. The lava on Super Mario Maker can temporarily increase opponents' percent above 999%, due to an issue where it doesn't correct the percent back to 999% after the damage is added if it increases the opponent's percent beyond that. An easy way to see this effect is with Fireball, but any attacks will deal more damage, and other percent dependant things (such as how long you're grabbed for) are affected too. The glitch wears off after the opponent takes damage from a source other than the lava. To do this without launch rates and stuff, you'll need a layout with a solid block above lava to build up damage without dying, and you can free the opponent with a super star. If Little Mac counters certain moves (those with a coded hitlag multiplier of 0), his counter attack won't inflict hitlag, and (provided the opponent isn't put into the spin reel animation) the opponent will be frozen during their hitstun animation. The hitstun can also be cancelled at any time with a jump, aerial or special (although the timing is strict since you can't buffer these options. An easy way to see this is countering Ridley's Skewer (especially the sweetspot). For a Brawl-style momentum cancel, counter Terry's Buster Wolf initiating hit, then cancel Terry's hitstun with Power Dunk.
8:35 the screw attack item also gives you a higher jump and it does stack with the bunny hood, on top of that shulk with jump Monado has an even higher jump than falco so the lunchstar jump can maybe go way higher. Edit: the effects do stack normally but in the star boost they don’t stack with the bunny hood to give an even higher bounce. (BTW Hero with acceleratle is the same).
That steve glitch not working with kirby does bring up the question of whether or not the glitch will work if kirby copies dedede's inhale ability, since that gives kirby the properties of dedede's inhale
@@EarthBound_Fan Not really, Lightweight decreases a characters gravity, which effectively increases how high they jump, but doesn't technically change their jump height. Since the warp star recoil seems to be based on the actual jump height stat this might make a difference. So the two things that ought to be tried are Jump height upgrades and Gravity Mans Style.
Doki Doki Literature Club is one of my favourite medias too! The plus version seems interesting, but I can't stop wonder how a game like DDLC would work on console. The original took advantage of how you can look into the game's files of the game because it was a computer/laptop application, but that won't work on Switch. Perhaps there will be a special feature with the console versions of DDLC+ that allows the player to see the game's files.

Kirbys doesnt work because dedede can only swallow one at a time because he spits it back up as a hitbox. Kirby however clearly ate the anvil, you can even see the heal particles, and would presumably eat multiple off one inhale if setup right.

With the Ridley slow down, could you use the auto-pickup spirit from Persona 5 to pick up more bunny hoods once you’ve already slowed down to see if more of them wearing off would slow you down further?
This is very important. Every object has an object storage limit. In melee this is what allowed the blackhole glitch to work, when there were over 16 turnips they would reach the storage limit and be able to hit a previously hit one. Object storage limit is almost certainly also incorporated into ultimate. Using this we can probalbly hit the anvil with enough different items that it can hit the same ones again. And we can potentially do the blackhole glitch. Also interested how it interacts with a reflector on a charector it hasn't hit.
There's another discord feature where if you're on mobile you can tap on dark mode in your settings, you can get a darker mode on discord for people who live under rocks. Pretty sick
If you do this but with the light-mode button, it'll make your screen go completely white for a moment and briefly turn on your phone's flashlight if it's able to.

For anyone unaware, LapFox Trax is a musician actually named Emma Essex who uses a bunch of aliases, each one representing a different type of music. All of these aliases and the person herself are furries. So essentially, Discord has furry music on that link.. although, if you know some of the people in the dev team (like I do), it's not too surprising, considering there are a lot of furries there.
Because Dedede's Inhale is a reflector while Kirby's just absorbs it - Although Kirby's does create projectiles depending on how big the projectile is, like Samus' full charge Charge Shot, Sephiroth's Lv 3 Gigaflare, Snake's FSmash, etc.
By the way, the Jam FS Charge ability is also available as a two-slot support spirit. Equip that on Nightmare if you really hate meter smashes. This triggers the usual stacking protection for having multiple of the same spirit such that it only goes to 0.4 instead of 0.36, but the difference between 0.6^7 and 0.4^7 is... probably academic, honestly; the match isn't going to run long enough for that to matter.
There's actually a support spirit with the same power as Nightmare wizard, named Jeff as I recall, and it only takes 2 slots, so nightmare wizard can use it. This means that you could get at least 14 jamming powers per game with the maximum setup.
Now I'm wondering If Ridley side B's speed only changes when his speed is changed during the move, maybe it's possible to make him go faster ? If the Phantom thieves spirit Item Autograb works during his side special (I don't know if it works, though) maybe sliding over a bunny hood during a side special could grab it and make Ridley faster ? 11:30 Actually, wouldn't that Dedede take 12.6% because of the 1v1 multiplier in effect at the time? There's only one Dedede there at the moment (assuming Training Mode), so he takes 20% more damage.
Honestly I don't blame you, DDLC is one of the few actually creative horror games (likely because it's more psychological torment than jumpscares). Might have to check it out myself.
I'm wondering how DDLC will work on console since the game commonly likes to mess with the files. Heck, you have to mess with the game's files in order to get the true ending! Will we have to learn how to port the game's information over using a USB, or will the team do something more creative, live give us access to Monika's dev console? Now that I'm thinking about it, the game also sometimes messes with your mouse, so will the console versions have a clunky mouse or will those moments have to be sacrificed? Also, there's a moment in the game where a fake bluescreen pops up if you're playing in fullscreen, and it'd be very cute if that was replaced with each consoles' respective crash screen.
Regarding the D3/Kirby Anvil glitch, does Wario's Neutral B act any similarly or differently? It's not necessarily an inhale, but it does have a sort of "consume" property.
A long time ago, you did a segment on Ridley's side-b outrunning Big Blue. Since we know that distance and travel speed of certain moves are changed by size modifiers, are there other characters that can do that with speed changes? And what about things like Rollout? Would it be affected the same way as Ridley?
As to why Steve's blocks don't get hit: from what i've seen, Smash is really stingy with handing out IDs (understandable since it runs in a hand held console) but blocks can be spawned infinitely and many at the time So my guess is that at some point the blocks get assigned a new ID after enough are spawned, which could also depend on wheter or not other block despawned and freed up their ID or that despawning resets the "can be hit" state of their ID (which would then be reused for future blocks i imagine)
It fits in with the lore: Kirby was born with the power of SUCC, where King Dedede saw Kirby doing it and taught himself. It would make sense that the (relatively) recent learner is a little less precise than the life-long prodigy.
12:58 I don't really think it's possible for Kirby. Unlike King Dedede who just spits out any projectile immediately, Kirby either swallow it or shoots it out as a Star Bullet instead of the actual projectile. So yeah, this setup only works with Dedede.
There are Spirits that give a jump increase so id recommend using those instead of lightweight spirits. I know Shaymin (Sky Forme) has Jump up, but im not sure if there's any support spirits with Jump up
Question: you mentioned that Ridley's side special gets slower once the bunny hood falls off whilst sliding - is there a way to make him faster by auto-equipping a bunny hood mid slide? I'm sure one of the Persona spirits can do that. Thanks
If a cpu picks up a blaster item or something that Ness can absorb and Ness holds down psi magnet, the cpu will have some sort of spaz attack. I tested it with a level 9 wolf cpu and made it hold the ray gun and rage blaster. The cpu will figure it out at some point but it takes a while. TLDR: holding psi magnet while a cpu is holding one of the blaster items makes them break.
1) If a person is hit by the glitched anvil, loses all their stocks during a doubles match, then shares a stock, are they able to get hit again? 2) Will the glitch work with Kirby using King Dedede's copy ability?
Fun fact: If you go on discord (I think only mobile) and tap the light theme ten times it will turn your camera on. If you do it with dark mode you get an experimental mode where the background is black versus the dark grey. Personally I think it looks cooler
If Ridley had an auto item-pickup spirit, would be pick up another bunny hood without letting go of the sandbag? If so, could you try multiple bunny hoods for multiple slowdowns?
Oh hey, the Ridley thing I submitted! I remember finding that after seeing the Ridley infinite drag and messing around using it with Sonic and the Bunny Hood. I hadn't thought about trying to make it slower though, so I went back and tested a few other items not shown in this video. Here's what I found out: -Xerneas buffs are the same as Bunny Hood: once they wear off, Ridley slows down, but it doesn't stack with other items. -Being small doesn't change the speed. However, the size effect doesn't actually wear off until Ridley stops, so he'll be permanently small while doing the drag infinite. -I was going to test Super Mushroom as well, but...they can't actually spawn on the Mario Bros stage? This may be already known, but I never realized until I went into Training Mode that only Poison Mushroom can be spawned. -Curry doesn't change anything. -I tried Phantom Thieves, but Ridley doesn't pick up the Bunny Hood while using the attack. -Any spirit that has "Undamaged speed +" will slow down Ridley if he takes damage. If he heals back to 0%, he's still slower, but it doesn't stack if he takes damage again. So from what I can tell, Ridley's drag can't really go slower outside of things like wind or timer effects. Still though, it was fun to go back and experiment with it again. Thanks for showing it off!
Perhaps Timers could slow Ridley down further for a temporary time, maybe enough to get pushed back by the strong wind? Edit: He went over it in the pinned comment. Oops
I think a couple ways you could make it go slower would be to use inklings side-b on the ground as ridley is sliding, as well as using the slow down clock item thingy, and making ridley metal/mega. Lastly you could use spirit styles that slow speed, but that one might not work.
Hey Pk, maybe you should try doing the kirby anvil thing with kirby having king dedede's ability, maybe that will confirm that they function differently
I think the anvil thing is dofferent for kirbo because whenever he inhales something (like food or a bomb) he absorbs it, sorta like Wario's bite. Its different for K. D. Cuz he doesn't absorb items he inhales
4:24 Let's see about that. The meter takes 9 minutes and 16 seconds to fill up (556 seconds) under normal circumstances. 2 FS Jams (on a spirit team) slow the fill rate to 40% of the base. With 7 (as it doesn't slow down your own fill rate), the fill rate will reach about 0.16% of the base, which would make it take 339356 seconds to fill, or almost 4 days.
