Death is a natural thing. They are playing a game it’s not saying they are insensitive or uncaring people have passed. They have no personal attachments to the persons who have died and are showing natural responses to a trivia game while still showing a caring attitude and learning. Lighten up.
When Michael Jackson died, I was at a beach house with my family. It was on the news and me and my brother (teens at the time) watched in real time on the tv downstairs. Most of our family were at the beach at the time, but we were still at the house. He was our favorite singer-songwriter, and we were devastated.
I will never forget when MJ died, I was sitting on my couch in my big blue house, my friend came over and had just had a traumatic experience with a family member and was telling me all about it and I sat with her for hours while she talked consoling her and she had to leave for work, as she was walking out she said “oh btw did you hear MJ died?!” And my jaw dropped to the ground and I started uncontrollably sobbing. My mom and I loved him so much. I called her and broke the news and we both cried together for hours. I know the way he lived his life was always in question but his music was one of the things that bonded my mother and I together, she was a true child of the 80’s and one of his biggest fans no doubt and raised me to love him so much ❤
I was like 8 or 9 after I found out Michael died because my dad was a fan of him and only listen to his music in the 2010s ❤❤ he was really legend and truly the king of pop
@@saturnzen It’s history. Are we not allowed to discuss it? And yea…they were cracking jokes because death freaks people out and laughter diffuses some of the tension. So what? That is an exceedingly common human reaction. Relax my guy.
@@rachaelxcolleen if they really were just discussing their deaths and how they died it would be much different but making a guessing game out of the death of people you don’t know and cracking jokes during said game is disrespectful point blank. they seem so eager to get points for knowing how these people died and it just seems so tone deaf that’s all
If they hadn’t removed the barb, there’s a chance he could have survived. If you get stabbed by something, and it’s still in you, don’t remove it. Let the doctors at the hospital take it out.
I will never forget where I was when Michael Jackson died. I was sitting at my high school graduation and the news was being passed around amongst the students during the ceremony.
Guys, they have done stuff like this before. they had a game where they guessed what crime happened based on the description. they do stuff like this. besides, I think it’s a fun history lesson but we all have different opinions on stuff. For example, some people like true crime. others don’t.
It's incredibly disturbing to see people laughing and celebrating a game surrounding death. These were real people, with families and loved ones - and then you have their deaths not only being treated as a game, but having people being excited about guessing correctly.
After reading the comments, I understand the criticisms of the gaming aspect as well as the topic. The combination is the reason it's throwing people off because they appear to be having fun off of guessing people's (famous people but still) causes of deaths... but if you broke it down to, it is a general information trivia essentially. They are just happy to play the game, but maybe it would be more humane if they showed a little bit of compassion on the dead, showing them expressing sympathy on them. A little deft hand handling these type of topics in the future would be better.
5:36 I remember where I was when MJ died. I was at a summer jam for Christians and in the middle of everything, one of the pastors came out on stage and held a moment of silence after he told all of us that news had just broke of Michael Jackson’s passing.
Trivia: James Dean had a passenger with him named Rolf Wutherich when the car accident happened in 1955. Dean died but Wutherich survived. However, 26 years later, 1981, Wutherich was involved in another car accident, and this time, he already died.
I remember what I was doing when Michael Jackson died. I was 21 and working in Primark stop (a clothing company in the UK) The shop was closed and we were doing the clean up. One of our colleagues brought in an egg free black forest gateau. We were allowed to have a break to eat it. I was wandering around the shop floor eating a slice, when either someone said he was dead or it was on the radio. It didn't seem to sink on for anyone, it was so unexpected all we could say was "oh". So now whenever I see a black forest gateau I remember that night. It's also the first time I had an egg free cake. I have to say egg free is better than cake with egg. It's nicely moist and so fluffy and light
Jaxon I'll never forget where I was. I was just waking up and I come down the stairs and my mom screams "OMG MICHAEL JACKSON'S DEAD" and I start sobbing immediately because there were huuuggeee rumors about him going on tour and I was EXCITED AS HELL....and I knew I'd never get the chance. We watched the coverage that entire day in disbelief (there were conflicting reports saying he was in a coma/he'd passed). I'll never forget it.
Every time I think about Steve Irwin I'm getting emotional because he had such an impact on my life. I was a little girl, like 6-7 and he was my first idol and thanks to him I love animals that much.
I'm not really feeling this video and also Michael Jackson did not die in Neverland ranch. He was in a whole different part of California at one of his other properties
This is sad.... but I'm actually hoping for a Part 2. I was thinking Heather O'Rourke from "Poltergeist", Dominique Dunne from "Poltergeist", Prince, Rebecca Shaffer, Christina Grimmie, John Ritter, Patrick Swayze.. so many... it's sad, but interesting game.
MJ died June 25th 2009 and i remember exactly the moment i learned.. i then cried like a baby all day, my family even called to make sure i was ok and knew.
I remember EXACTLY where I was when I got the news about Michael Jackson. For pretext, at the time my dad and I would play a boxing game on the PS2 which featured MJ as a playable character. When I would spend the week with my mom, he would text me all of the characters he had unlocked. Just before dinner time, he texted me “Michael Jackson died.” Assuming he had lost an unlockable character (I’m not too smart when it comes to video games), I responded “What did you do?” Before he responded, I fixed my plate and turned on the TV. Almost EVERY channel showed breaking news of Michael Jackson’s death. I had listened to his music and studied his music videos growing up so I could learn how to dance like him, so I was devastated that a dancer who inspired me was gone. I couldn’t eat my spaghetti, so I went back to my room and cried. It felt like I had lost a dance teacher, so it hit me like a ton of bricks. I still remember to this day, so may he finally rest in peace.
I was a baby when he died my mom told me we were driving over the bridge in NJ when they found out. So I was in NJ when he passed. RIH Michael, The King of Pop ❤
Gods... I'm not forgetting Michael Jackson's death, I was sitting in Out Patients (Emergency in the US) with an abscess on top and bottom on my right side.. hurt to smile... just before the announcement, someone waiting said "you think they'll meld him down get the plastic back and make Tonka toys so boys will still play with him." Needless to say that bumped my pain up, got me into the doctor.. A day I'll never forget.
i don’t think a lot of people in the comments realize, whether in a video or not, people will always make fun of celebrities deaths!! and you can tell they are being very respectful compared to MANY people!!!
oddly enough i was able to figure out the Sylvia Plath one easily, cos many years ago my literature teacher covered a poem of hers in class. Sylvia's life really was very sad when i googled about her back then, such a big throwback that this video is giving me
Got every one of them, though some were a struggle since the scenarios/circumstances sometimes applied to multiple people. I had just graduated high school when Michael Jackson died, but I heard about Farrah Fawcett's death first (can't remember how). My mom called me from work and first thing she said was "guess who died today?" and I answered Farrah Fawcett and she goes "no Michael Jackson!" Yeah that was a hard day
My Maiden name is Jackson. Kids used to say that I was related to Michael all the time (I wasn't). He died as I was standing in line to graduate high school.
Some of these were really tough. Honestly, the only reason I knew about Sylvia Plath is because I read The Bell Jar in high school and my teacher mentioned it. And where was I when I heard that Michael Jackson died? I was getting ready to go to California on the first trip my then-boyfriend and I took together. I think it happened right before we left.
I heard, that if Steve Irwin, would have left the stinger alone, and allowed a medical professional to remove it, he would still be with us today. 😢 So, if anything like that happens to you, don’t remove it yourself, have a professional remove it ☺️
I've never heard that about Elvis. I went to work early that morning and when i walked in the office i heard my peers listening to Michael. I paid it no mind, cuz i'm a huge MJ fan and i know of course know his music. Started my duties. The shift ended about 7 that night and i went to the office and they were all talking about his death. I couldn't believe it, i got quiet. They were all talking around me and i got quiet and held back the tears😢
As soon as I heard the word for number nine, the word pig , I knew it was from the Charles Manson case because they recently put out a documentary on ID for it
Can't believe they didn't mention/provide the involvement of Christopher Walken in the Natalie Wood case as a clue! Also it is bizarre they don't know about the iconized death of Sylvia Plath! And Michael Jackson reportedly didn't die in Neverland ranch!
Michael Jackson didn't die at Neverland. He wasn't even living there at the time. Sometimes I wonder who's researching these videos because I feel like I'm seeing more and more inaccuracies. Seriously, do better guys.
I remember watching all of the media attention from Michael Jackson's death and my mom telling me that if I didn't distract myself somehow I'd eventually break down and cry
The celebrity death that still has affected us all; the passing of Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman. Him and Roy Halladay for me are the 2 that really affected me.
5:41 June 25, 2009 15 years just passed for Michael too I was only 9 we had just got out of school like 3 weeks ago for our last day I was at my grandparents house and we were listening his music on tv then the news came on and told us I was so shocked I remember watching his funeral on tv(Or whatever they showed) I was crying I love Michael Jackson
I had just graduated high school when Michael Jackson died I was 17 and I was at a friends house and I was creating my Facebook account and then 106 at park came on and made the announcement and I fell out of the computer chair to the floor and started screaming and crying…my life has never been the same….he was and is my life!!!
How is it we are approaching the 4 year anniversary of Naya's passing? It feels like just yesterday the news had broken about her missing and that the photo of the glee cast holding hands at the lake came out.
