Unfortunately not. Even the well drillers won't give you a very good estimate. If they hit rock along the way or something, then it's just their digging time. Wells can be anywhere from 300 feet to 600 feet in the Hills, sometimes less as you get closer to Rapid. I usually tell people to plan for $50K. And hopefully it's less!
@@TristanEmond have a plot in new underwood. Dependable wells are aquafer wells that are 2700 foot minimum. 300k was the estimate 8 months ago. Looking at installing cistern and trucking water in from town.
@@MP57719 Yeah those deep ones are crazy! Water cisterns are common in a number of different areas around the Hills so that should work out OK for you. 👍
@@MP57719 oof I don't have the knowledge to answer that question with any certainty. 🤷♂️ But with a cistern you should be able to call and get refills when needed.
Ooof that's a tough one. Any of the farming communities would probably be your best bet. As you get closer to Rapid City and Sioux Falls, you get more covenants and restrictions with land. The less rules a county has, the easier it'll be for you to do what you want. 😉
