Glad to have come up to this video. I shot Cinestill in daylight this Spring with the same setup (85b filter, ISO 500) on my Olympus OM-1 (35mm). I liked the photos, they were something different, NLP let me do a lot to the negative and it was creative, but most of the photos were more prone to lightleaks (shot in bright morning daylight with spring sun - or I might have mishandled it before/after having it out of camera) and eventually I felt like, if somebody wants to shoot Cinestill in daylight, they're better off with buying the 50D. I also noticed like you, that the 35mm has that grain, that kind of is too noticeable (sure, it's 800 ISO), which I told myself as another argument for 50D. As an experiment, though, it was cool to do so and I will eventually do it again, because the warming filter would just sit in my drawer forever. I like, how the medium format photos turned out, but I was wondering if that was your choice, or it turned out like this (or it's youtube messing up): it feels to me like shadows are bit muddy to my eyes (i'm not criticizing, I am truly wondering, why is that or is it just my feeling)?

Think the light leaks are part of the parcel with cinestill because it’s had a layer removed so it’s a bit more volatile in that regard. But that said it would be cool to some how know what sets it off because sometimes it can look great. Also the lack of remjet makes 800t more contrasty than vision3 and on my Mamiya especially because I was using external light meters (that are inconsistent). Some of those photos might be underexposed a touch in the shadows.

Though Its color is not that natural compared to the Kodak Portra when shooting in the daytime, but I think it's still pretty good if u want that vintage movie feels!!! Def pickup some n try it

For that one I used a glass prism lens over the actual camera lens. I forgot to mention it in the video

Cinestill 800T shot in daylight is a loosing game. We start with a 500T Vision 3 film which is no faster than its original ISO of 500 because CS removed the remjet, so it starts out 2/3 stop under-exposed. Then add a 85 filter to adjust its color balance for use in daylight, another 2/3 stop of exposure loss. If you then cross-process it in C-41 per CS instructions, and you pick up a contrast adjustment and a cyan color cast. And, you get to pay $3-10 extra per roll for the 800T, now operating in the ISO 250 range, over normal color negative films in the ISO 200-400 range. That's argument against. What's the argument for its use in daylight.
