Honestly the actor of Dr Wolcott is so underrated and he nailed his performance superbly

As much as I enjoyed the episode, the guys were kind of douchebags to leave without saying goodbye... He was very polite with them, and was willing to exchange information which constitutes in his life's work, not to mention going out to hunt to feed them dinner... The least they could do was say goodbye and thank him.

For a rather hit-or-miss sit-com, this show had a astounding number of really great character actors as guest stars...

I do feel bad for that poor guy. They should have stayed to say goodbye. Now he's gonna be freaking out for who knows how long.

I think this is one of the few, if only, times that Sheldon has acknowledged that Howard is right...without throwing in an insult not long after.

The way he tripped out after they left was epic.

The laughs and the end rant that Dr. Wilcott did in this scene was a reference to his role as Renfield in Dracula: Dead and Loving It.

I know the guy was a bit unstable but it was pretty rude of the guys to just leave without saying anything Also - Peter MacNicol is a great comedy actor (Bean the Movie, Addams Family Values, Ghostbusters II etc)

Peter Mcnickle is one of my favorite character actors. I don't know why we don't see him more. Awesome dude.

Crazy Scientist: I’m a married man myself. Leonard: Oh really? Is she here? Howard: and alive? Raj: and, and can people other than you see her? ROFL... I love the Big Bang Theory and I cannot understand why SOME fans are saying the show should end. Hats off to the writers of the show, because they have done an EXCEPTIONAL job with the characters of the show. Not only have they brought them to life but show them grow and mature as well. These guys were originally NERDY, uncool, no girlfriends, comic book reading Scientists. They still do those things but they have become more outgoing and they are now married with children...well all except Raj. However, I believe that the writers will have the right woman for Raj. The writing is just brilliant and the actors do an outstanding job in bringing to life what the writers have put on paper. Watching all these characters grow and mature right before our very eyes has been most entertaining. Especially Sheldon, he went from almost robotic to being human, with a need for sex, no less. True, the robotic boy comes out from time to time but his human side is winning the tug of war. Look at Amy, look how far she has come. She was robotic as well... I say the Writers deserve a standing ovation for their brilliant strategy. It is a very well written show and every time I watch it, I can still laugh out loud...good old belly laugh. The creators of the show will know when to end it and I am sure they are going to do an exceptional job. So fans, just sit back and enjoy the ride because nothing lasts forever. Bravo!!!

I must say the man acting as Dr Wolcot is a great actor....... not only did he know his lines very well but he adds value to the words coming out of his mouth 👏🏻 👏🏻

Even tho the guys were jerks, Dr. Wolcott was hilarious! He acted exactly like an unhinged person, but he still made it relatable.

I actually really liked this episode, but I'm sad that they still haven't mentioned Stephen Hawking. I mean, they went to great lengths to show how much Sheldon idolized Hawking and brought him onto the show multiple times. You would think that Sheldon would acknowledge the loss of such an extraordinary scientist and human being. I suppose, though, it probably has to do with when each episode is filmed? I just hope they mention it soon.

Real Sheldon from season 1 would kill for living a life like this, constantly entangled in academia and realities of the space time. Then I guess a woman can actually change your life like hell, for better or worse, which is upto you.

Great episode!! Peter MacNicol is hilarious!!!! This should be a spin-off. I can see his "crazy" being the central theme of maintaining off grid lifestyle while dealing with normality.

I loved this actor in both this role and in Numb3rs.

I have three comments I wanna make. One, that "WAIT A MINUTE!" was hilarious. Two, If he keeps believing that he will say "thank you" in the future, then he never will, and thus, contradicts his theory of a reason not to repeat himself. Three, I find it ironic that in an early episode, the gang finds the script for "Ghostbusters II", but don't notice the resemblance here, as Peter MacNicol was in the film. Then again, in a different early episode, Raj mentions Danica McKellar and in a later episode, he ends up hooking up with her. In that same early episode, he also mentions Blossom, who obviously is Amy. And they don't notice the resemblance there either. RJ

That gun he's using is all wrong-it look's like a Marlin 336, which is a rifle used for deer or bear; shoot small game like a rabbit or squirrel with one and it will explode into a red mist with barely any meat left

I first saw this actor in the Leslie Nielsen Dracula parody movie and the first Mr Bean movie.
