OSHA Workplace Safety...
Is a job EVER worth putting your life at risk?
Workplace safety is a big issue, as employers of various types will regularly ask their employees to work with substandard equipment, in unsafe environments, and hazardous conditions.
Watch this video to see the legal implications for workers who face such situations.
The HARD TRUTH is that if you are being asked by your employer to put your safety at risk - get out - they are putting profit above your safety.
That being said, if you face a situation like this - complain in writing to your boss. Using either a text or in email to notify them of the unsafe conditions. They may not be aware and can rectify the situation.
If they don't and they retaliate they may be in violation of the Florida Whistleblower Act, and you have legal options at that point.
Don't let them cross the line and put you in danger.
Know your rights in the workplace, know that line.

You are literally the best employment lawyer in the world probably your legal advice has gotten me through some tough situations and it has uniform nationwide application. This employment law stuff is complicated, challenging, and tainted. If someone offers you $75,000 and your out of $250,000 take the $75,000

I got injured at work, filed a workman's comp claim and still got fired. I went to OSHA and now I get to file a whistleblower claim for my employer taken an adverse action against me despite getting injured at the job.

I am writing to seek advice OSHA don’t feel safe and protection under the Florida whistleblower law. I find myself in a situation where issues related to moisture, water leaks, and poor indoor air quality impacted both my respiratory health and the functionality of computer equipment in the workplace until I was fired on FLMA. As someone with environmental allergens and asthma I continue to gain environmental education about my risk for triggers, the presence of “water stains” and repeated “exposure” to strong cleaning chemicals has led to respiratory symptoms, prompting urgent care and emergency room visits following work shifts. I believe these conditions pose a serious threat to my well-being and potentially violate workplace safety standards. I am reaching out to discuss the best course of action and potential legal remedies. Risk, How bad can it get?

Richard, this question is off topic. I have seen quite a few situations where a client is clearly being ignored by his/her attorney. Attorney doesn't respond to the client's question or request for a case update for weeks, sometimes months. Why would an attorney do this? Doesn't the attorney have a duty to keep the client informed?

i work in fountain beverage repair and me and another guy got sent to pickup equipment from a closed account the local municipality took over. the place flooded and became mold infested, i flat out refused to enter without proper protective breathing gear and told my manager and boos that in no way am i going in their and risking my airways. and even went so far as to threaten lawsuits if i was forced to enter without and i subseqently became ill. the lawsuit comment spooked the people of that municipality. and it should have. they let the building become decrepate with our equipment in there and made it an unsafe environment to enter. im still employed and even got a tasking a couple months later to go to our sattelite facility to help out for a couple weeks. its one thing ive made very clear to my employer, i will get the job done but if it starts to become apparent its unsafe, i put my foot down and even tell the big man on top no way will i do it when its dangerous. everyone i work with thinks im mad, no im a veteran and if its bullshit im gonna call it how i see it. tbh i think my boss appreciates someone not kissing his ass.

I work with dangerous chemicals and I cannot take it. We need better ventilation and respirators. I’m not the only person who gets the packing in my nose and I have not been to work in over a week because I have been very sick to my stomach out of nowhere. I don’t want to go back to this job

I am seeking clarification regarding the alignment of Florida's OSHA policy, whistleblower protections, and the recent rule preventing employees from suing their employers linked to covid 19. How can employees address safety concerns without the ability to sue, and what measures are in place to prevent retaliation?

This isn't an employment case, but I was wondering if a Pro Se plaintiff in Federal Court (4th Amendment Claim) is allowed to release bodycam footage they obtained from Defendant's attorney? The Defendant is a Commander of a Sheriff's Office. While Defendant's attorney tried to get me to sign a stipulated protective order, I refused. I informed them I was working on a motion to compel the release of bodycam footage, and they ended up emailing me an unredacted bodycam footage without requiring me to sign their stipulated protective order. Can I legally post the bodycam footage (with my own redactions) online given no protective order was agreed upon or ordered by the Court?

what if i was a pro at my job and i relied on my boss be a pro in employment law, and yes they violated safety statutes as part of the job which force me out of a job due to protecting my safety. but i wasn't aware at the time of me work there that i needed to file a written complaint. would i still have a case? it's a dahm shame if i dont have a case cause me having a spotty work history harmed my ability to find new work or equal work that i had.

Play power treats people like property. And hiring illegal aliens and laying off American workers they don't care about OSHA they have them paid off. They hate older people with disabilities and they don't care if you're on light duty.
