"I hate winter!" I think you went the wrong way, Australia is SW from Japan, not due east. But don't worry, it looks like Vancouver only gets 40cm of snow, and it will quit snowing in April.

If you travel East in February, you'll get the chance to live through the real harsh winter of Canada.... It starts on the other side of the rocky mountains. You'll get -20's, -30's and, if you're lucky, even -40's! Enjoy Canada as much as you want! ;)

It looks like you guys have are really really nice time there. Vancouver is surrounded by beautiful nature so it's so easy to escape from city life. Stanley park is also a great place to do that and Queen Elizabeth...I'd think you enjoy the bike ride around sea wall and all the way to Kitslano beach area. Hey Kazuko. Did you enjoy Vancouver ? I went to Vancouver 4 years ago. It's a amazing city. I was suprised to see a lot of canadians with asian origin and a lot of japanese, korean : ) So i tried japanese, korean, thai, chinese, indian food and it was really good. Did you try Japadog ?
