I let my kids have a day once a semester also! I’m a firm believer in that it’s not realistic to aim for perfect attendance. So long as we keep our number under the 10 days a year I allow it!

I used to do that with my girls when they were younger. So much fun ❤

It looked like an awesome day out with Jacob and some great discounted finds at the grocery store. I remember the Franklin books, my daughter loved them and she had quite a collection of them, I believe she passed them on when her dads kids started to read, its nice to know they are still around. I've never heard of Mr. Beast bars, but I'm sure the boys will be thrilled to find them in their lunches. Hopefully you'll be able to find some of the Unicorn Yogurt drinks for the girls. Those pizza kits looked delicious, how awesome to be able to have everything ready to pop in the oven at home. Thanks for taking us along on Jacob's special day and for showing your lunch, I love Poutine, haven't had them in about 30 years, but the flavor is one I'll never forgets. Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Looks like you had a great day with Jacob. Cute sandals. Great find on the Franklin books. I love the idea of spending the day with each child. I take family days and not single one on one which I think is great. Great price on the chicken and ground beef 👌 The 50% off sections are a pretty good find sometimes. Especially with these ridiculous prices 🙄 I made rice Krispy squares with added skor bits. Turned out yummy. I like dressing up the Mr Noodles with shrimp and vegetables. I love the Tim Horton coffee, hazelnut is my favorite. The pizza looks delicious. Have a great weekend. 😊

That poutine looks so yummy, makes me want to get home to have some good poutine. No one here knows how to make it correctly haha. I sometimes make it for a treat myself. I think Audrey was the best buy at Super Store. Fun Day for Jacob, he's growing up Mom.

We live across the border in Michigan and my mom said years ago that we had a Superstore and she really misses it...I wish we could get those Ketchup rice cakes. My daughter has food with her ketchup...LOL

poutine i take it for lunch? never had it. my daughter and i went to order it once somewhere (here in the states) but they were out. personally i wasn't on board anyhow lol i like my taters crisp if fries or tots, etc. and if i want things like gravy on them mashed or boiled is the route for me. i work somewhere we sell the Mr. Beast bars. I had never heard of him but people told me he was a bit of a YT sensation. We had them at close to $3 but then have dropped them several times to like 79 cents, I think to get rid of. That was a very low price so I bought a handful. For me, I didn't find them very good chocolate or bars at all. Jmo. The plain chocolate are blah imo, the krispy rice one a Nestle's Crunch or Crackel beats any day and the peanut butter one is okayyyyy but a Reese's would also rule any day... However, at 79c they are slowly selling and the kids seem to think they are a thing... Haven't seen many repeat customers of them though. I never bought another after thinking how could anyone go wrong with a big bar for 79c. I still have some in my frig. Anyhow looked like a fun day out and it's nice you do that with your kids. Comments above are just about food and groceries generally and my thoughts on such. I do still want to try poutine though. Maybe I'd be surprised...

I'm curious always about the differences in our countries. I am one who almost will never deal with going to Walmart but i will get their deliveries which for some reason run a lot smoother than our messy badly managed store itself does. Anyhow, I never need to run to them for milk and bread. We have gas stations/covenience stores and especially one that sells such for a way better price than Walmart. do you have such stores? Their bananas are cheaper, the milk, buns, breads, potatoes, EVEN meats. Kwik Trip would be the one. We also have Menard's who also undersells THEM on milk and more. it keeps me from ever needing to step foot into a Walmart lol. Just wondering/curious.
