Seeing that made me remember Cannondales. We had a few of those over the years. Littered with issues, but they could be hammered out and they were absolute units. FI 440cc back in like 02 I believe.
Man that can am rips hope you sort out the electrical issue I'm sure you will this quad has such a beautiful low riding height & it actually rips really well so great you found that bare wire that was definitely a time bomb waiting to go off that why it is always crucial to stay up with maintenance have a smashing week mate take care bud 👊💨
Hey Time Machine, big fan love all your content. How’s your Can am450 holding up after 3 months ish? Just got one yesterday and would like to know any tips or things to look for! Thank you!
I'm still on the fence about Canned Ham products...a lot of folks I talk to love them, and a lot hate them. I think they're too expensive. But no doubt, this one rips. Never heard one jump up to the limiter that fast! Wondering how the wiring fell apart like that?? Fuel in-junk-tion is nice, but since I'm a recovering GM technician who hates electrical, I'll stick to my air-cooled carbonstrated Honda for the time being. Less to go wrong. Nice work, fellas! P.S. How about a wheelie tutorial video? I still can't get it right. Whenever I see you turn a donut into a drive-away wheelie, I kick myself.
Can Ams were cool & fast quads. That one looked neglected. That's too bad! As much as i love my 2 Yamaha sports quads: '10 YFZ450X Bill Ballance edition & '21 Raptor 700R-SE (3.5hrs so far). Be cool see more brands come out w/ new machines! Had no battery tender on my YFZ450X when was stored 8yrs & fuel pump went bad. I believe was cause had no power runnin thru it those yrs! Newer FI machines are great but need electricity runnin thru em when stored (obviously to also keep expensive batteries maintained also). -Ohio #Yamaha #F150Raptor
I actually own a 2009 DS 450 X MX that I've had since it was brand new I don't think it has 75Hrs on it I got it when I was still racing bikes so it just sat then when i picked up a new yfz in 2018 so it's just really been sitting since 2018 other then start ups to keep her running now and again not a bad looking machine at all but definitely a different machine from engine to even chassis
I dunno why people like the CanAm's they look unnecessarily complex. Also, not even the fastest or best handling. I know the Side X sides are a different animal
