Somehow the Enter the Clans book was like my personal Warriors Bible in High School and introduced me into “using herbs for medicine” concept. I felt like knowledge was flowing through my mind like a gentle breeze when reading and learning about the series’ lore. I wish those fake books were real, cuz I think they would have been interesting. Omg I would have loved to see the current books in POB style
My original copy of Rising Storm from my childhood has Sandstorm on it. A few years ago my friend gave me a hardcover copy with Cloudkit and I swear I thought I was having a Mandela moment until I got my little sister back home to send me a photo of the version I grew up with. XD
I had to take a double take because I thought that I had the cloudkit version this whole time and that was the more common version. Nope, just the sandstorm version 😂
Can't wait for them to finally get to their 100th book. Seriously though, Warriors is approaching quite a milestone, this series will be 20 years old next year and is nearing 100 books! Like no way the Erin's were expecting it.
“Cats can’t taste sweet flavor” The characters in this series get granted bonus lives by dead people but god forbid they’re able to taste sweet flavors 🙄
I have a hardcover copy of the Warriors Guide, mine is a misprint and it's upside down/backwards. If you opened it on the front cover side, you'd get the very last page, upside down. It's actually my favorite book in my collection, because it's just so weird. 😊
I became fascinated with the POB bind-ups myself a couple months ago - I remembered seeing a picture or two of them YEARS ago, like mid to late 2000s, but with no discussion on them, and had almost convinced myself at this point that I had dreamed it up until I came across a copy of the Forest of Secrets/Rising Storm volume for sale. I've since managed to get a copy of each, and tried to do some digging on where they originated from, since there isn't any new info listed on the copyright page or anything. As best as I can find - from first-hand accounts and a blog post that included a picture of them - they seem to have been Costco exclusives.
I think I'm having my own Mandela moment with these books... I swear I have read one of the books in the new prophecy, before they officially left the forest, Sandstorm basically admits to killing one of her and Firestar's kits in secret because it looked somewhat similar to TigerStar and she was scared on how Firestar would feel about the kit... I've looked everywhere and just can not find it and it's been driving me mad!
That definitely didn't happen in canon, but it's possible it was in one of those weird Warrior Cats "facts" videos since those are always filled with fake stuff and headcanons passed off as true Or it could have just been a dream you had or something like that and I'm reading too much into this
I had one of these Mandela moments where Tigerstar wrote in Gorsepaw's skin after he killed him??? Like he wrote "you're next" as a message to Firestar. And I asked all my friends who read Warriors about it, and they have no idea what I'm talking about (which makes sense because cats can't write).
holy shitttt my middle school had those double books!! maybe it was a way to help libraries be able to basically lend out 2 books in one, i remember having to join a waitlist and waiting weeks to monthes to get some of the books espically since Into The Wild was used for Battle of the Books which got everyone in my grade into warriors at the same time
I have The Sun trail with an extra scene in it, I got it at Barns & Noble I also have an Ultimate Edition field guide with the poster in it, not sure where it came from it was a Christmas gift
I had no idea about the sandstorm edition! I actually bought an old box set a long while ago so I went to check and I do have that one. I suppose I’ll need to grab a CloudKit version! 8:35
I'm studying graphic design for my degree and those lines are kind of sloppy. They're usually used as guidelines to make sure your words are lined up the right way. I guess they couldn't think of anything else to do with the cover or they forgot to delete them in the final version of the image.
I have a POB version of some of the first series book, never knew that's what they were called though LOL. I always disliked them because I liked to take the covers off and see the bare color underneath with the shiny label on the spine, so I didn't like not habinf the option to remove the cover
Also I have an alternate cover for Darkest hour. I think it might be a UK cover since Graystripe (how he's spelled in my copies, I'm from America) is called Greystripe. The cover is a paperback, it has the four shadowy cats from the normal original copies of the book but instead of the square with Firestar and the lion, there is a tinted blue cat with orange eyes at the top of the book. Warrior cats the darkest hour is in the middle of the cover, and the logo looks a bit different with claw marks in the w of warrior and c in cats.
They changed a book because "Cats can't taste sweet flavours"? They also can't speak to the dead and use medicine(which is made up anyway) but no, honey is where we draw the line. Okay.
I remember seeing that field guide at barnes and noble as a kid and thinking it was bootleg because of the cover design, despite the fact that it was on the shelf at barnes and noble lol. I also remember seeing a manga-sized warriors book there that was a guide to the Warriors Adventure Game (where you roleplay characters through a story). I never picked it up but I guess I should have because I’ve never heard much about it since. Also, great choice in music! I recognized it immediately :)
i really hope someday we get like a compilation of every bonus chapter or story ever because i feel like unless some fans save them theyll become forgotten and lost, some of them were pretty good
Thank you so much for linking the archive for Silverpelt! I'm currently reading the whole series in chronological order, including the online only shorts, and was heartbroken when the site was taken down. You're a life saver!
I have one of the POBs!! I really thought it was some sort of bootleg at first, but I'm glad to know that its not fake and that some of them actually do exist out there! I had a small feeling that it might be worth something, and Im glad I was right in some capacity :D
I actually have a paperback copy of Rising Storm with the Cloudkit and Fireheart version of the cover! It's a part of a paperback box set I've had since elementary school.
The “POB” book concept looks cool as heck. Also, people seriously were outraged about the honey scene? I mean, yeah cats can’t taste sweet things. But they also can’t talk, form societies, or have religion.
That's what I was thinking xD But I vaguely recall people making disclaimers of "Yes I KNOW cats cant taste sweet things but let me LIVE" in RPs or character sheets. Of all the things in Warriors, the inability to taste sweetness should never have sparked a debate. xD
I actually have a copy of the Warriors Field Guide and I used to carry it around with me everywhere. I also had Enter the Clans at the time so idk why the field guide was my favorite.
Hi! i have a warriors manga. its skyclan and the stranger but theres something different to it, its the full triology. i checked the back of it and it says its only sold at book fairs/ scholastic events (i got it from a book fair, yes.) so its pretty interesting because i cant find anything about the full thing in one book!
I remember being in the fandom when these were being released! I do recall at some point HarperCollins would release manga where they would combine entire trilogies into one book and put them in full color, and I believe I had the SkyClan one and the one about Ravenpaw, and the full-color Graystripe one. So yeah, these were real and you’re not misremembering! :)
One time, in 3rd grade at my schools public library. I found a The Sight PO3 book, it was normal until I got to a page where Sandstorm and Firestar were together. But, they labeled Firestar as FireSTORM, hehe. Got a good chuckle for 5 minutes after that, if your wondering my school only had the old covers so typo? Nevertheless it was fun seeing it!
I know this is an old video, but I would just like to share what I've found since I can't find anything like this online. I went to Halfprice books, and on the warrior cats shelf, I found a really weird binding of Firestar's quest- it looked like a bootleg at first, but then I realized that it was a hardcover, but for some reason had the paperback format. This confused me, and when I went home, I looked at the back of the book, and it said, "Follettbound platinum." I believe this is where they convert paperbacks to hardcover for schools since kids are rough with books?? But I didn't expect them to do that with warrior cats. If anyone has heard about books like this, then please let me know. I wonder if it's valuable or not, it was only three dollars
Enter the Clans was not a B&N exclusive, I definitely got my copy at Books-A-Million, there isn’t a B&N in my hometown. My copy also didn’t have any extra art or full maps though, maybe that was an exclusive thing? I unfortunately I don’t have my copy anymore. It also didn’t have any of the full color art Code of the Clans and Secrets of the Clans have
I’m guessing the extra art/maps were the B&N exclusive. It feels unusual for the Erins to make an entire book B&N exclusive Edit: Or the original release was B&N exclusive
@@anoushkashenoy692 I have my Enter the Clans copy from I think bookdepository (online)? It has the Ravenpaw art Soleil showed in it as well as both versions of 2 full-territory maps (not as folded pieces of paper, just printed on the pages). The list (or is it more like lists?) of books seems to not have small boxes or sth like that for checking if you've read them, though (or is it that I just can't find it?). The page on bookdepository lists the same ISBN-13 as the Warriors Wiki, so could the foldable maps (technically you can kind of fold pages anyway) and the checklist be a B&N exclusive (if they actually exist)?
I used to own those 2 in 1 specials from the first 2 arcs. I remember I found them at Costco... that's all! LOL but I grabbed them solely bc I was so intrigued by the weirdness of them. I also own the ugly Warriors Guide, it feels legitimately cheap like it was a prototype, and when I found it at Barnes I remember being so confused bc I didnt see its release date anywhere. Lastly, I own a first edition dust jacket hardcover of Rising Storm with the Fireheart/Cloudkit art. I remember I had the Sandstorm one too at one point and I always wondered why the two were different!
I have Enter The Clans though, and Barnes and Noble doesn't exist out here in Canada. I got it at Chapters and assumed it was as common as the rest of them tbh.
This was such a nostalgia trip! This showed up in my recommended and I didn’t realize any of this was uncommon knowledge 😭 I was *obsessed* with Warriors from 7 to 12 years old, and I had Enter the Clans, The Warriors Guide, and printed out several of the short stories and plays for both personal use and to distribute among my friends lol
About alternative covers - does anyone have an English Super Edition without the flap? I have the old-but-alternative Skyclan's Destiny (it's the one that looks almost identical to the original but the "exclusive manga" thing is on the bottom right corner) and it has only the front cover design that you'd see with the flap on. Is this because it's paperback? (I got it from The Book Depository if that's relevant)
Heyy my friend has a 2 book bundle, I think sunset and sunrise lol, books from 2 entirely different arcs also eclipse has a weird unexplained alternate cover where the circle is lower and red update: i'm getting the forest of secrets and rising storm set, will update again once it arrives update 2: forgot to update but it did arrive, and it’s pretty cool
The into the wild/fire and ice pob was my first warrior book that I got from Borders around 7 years old. I’d never seen any others until I was at Powell’s in 2019 and saw Midnight/Moonlight and for some reason I didn’t get it 😩 I did end up buying the dangerous path/darkest hour pob online tho!
my understanding with the rising storm covers was always that they changed the middle art hc it looked too similar to the art on the cover of a dangerous path - and now every wc cover looks the fucking same lmao
I saw something on the warriors wiki about an unreleased book called Silverstream's love. I'm not sure how much is known about it. I couldn't find any other evidence that it even existed. Also my local library has one of the POB books for the survivors series. I've never seen the warriors ones.
I own twilight + sunset as a pob book!! I’ve also seen the dangerous path + the darkest hour and dawn + starlight out at a local bookstore, but don’t own either
i was lucky to find the guide book on ebay for like $10. im trying to collect most if not all of the books so getting that one with ease was such a relief
I wish some stuff wasn’t exclusive. I’ve only read the exclusive chapters for DOTC since the books in my school library have them. I wish they were rereleased.
Hold up, I'm having deja vu or experiencing a mandela effect.. I've had my Warrior books since I was in middle school, and I vividly remember having the Cloudkit's Rising Storm book, but I just checked and it's Sandstorm's??? I'm so confused???? 😵💫
I actually have a copy of the Twilight and Sunset POB book! I never ended up reading it (cuz i had already read the books on their own) but its in my book box! Real interesting thing.
I THOUGHT this whole time I owned the normal Cloudtail version of Rising Storm. I guess because that drawing is so ubiquitous online. This video made me pull my copy from my shelf...and it's the Sandstorm one! Mind blown. Unfortunately there's some damage and wear. I wish my child self realized this was a collector's item!
Oh my god I saw that Dawn and Starlight combo as a kid, it was in a book corner at the back of some store I went to as a kid that I looked through while my mom was doing something, I dont remember. That book always stuck in my head and I wondered if I could find it again someday
Does Anyone Know *Why?* Silverpelt Was Taken Down?? And Thank You For Linking It Through The Wayback Machine, I Didn't Think Things Like The Generator Would Work.. But It Is And I'm Happy Also People Were Calling Warriors Out Over Honey, When Cats Can't Taste Sweet Things?? Just.. Why? It's A Book That Doesn't Follow Laws Of Cat Nature Anyways (Precisely Why I LOVE WARRIORS, Fun, While Not Being Ruined By Cat Laws..)
I had Enter the Clans that i got at my local Chapters tho it didnt have the extras that you wouldve gotten from Barnes and Nobles. I still have my copy of Enter the Clans, tho its kinda beat up. I used it mainly to help with my personal warriors-based project
9:18 Okay, so they're okay with the fact that cats have societies, a moral code, law, religion, medicine and they can (kinda) do surgery, but no. If they can taste sweet that unrealistic.
The Warriors Guide book (the prototype), as Soleil describes, is actually really bad. I'm currently reading it now after I found it in a thrift store. The cats show you around their perspective clans (lake and forest) there is information about herbs and fighting tactics, and the rest is several pages of the Warrior Cats RP game and empty note pages. It's actually a pretty quick read.
I have a hardcover cloudkit copy(which I got used) and a paperback sandstorm copy of rising storm. I feel like many people don't realise that the first two arcs have alternate covers in the UK! I've seen people call them bootlegs which isn't true!! I also have a strange copy of the darkest hour which has a realistic cat on it that I got from a local charity shop lol
Hi, I am from Canada so I don’t know if this would explain it But I got the Enter the Clans book brand new from a book store chain called Indigo. I wonder if they are related to Barns and Nobles. Also just checked my rising storm book and it’s the sandstorm edition :P
The Warriors Guide was my favorite in elementary school, I brought it out to recess everyday to reference the medicine cats part of it when playing. I found the descriptions of every herb and plant they used very interesting
