My first impressions of Candice Owens were very positive, but I found her argumentative appeal to wane. She became more contriarian than thoughtful in her repartee. The last podcast of hers I watched was a personal hit piece against Jordan Peterson, and yes, her antisemitism, though veiled, was apparent on that particular podcast. I have observed that people either are systemically antisemitic from their cultural upbringing or they mindlessly follow along, ignoring right from wrong, but happy to be part of the popular collective or too fearful to stand up against the bullies. My guess is she is the former since she is certainly not a follower... While she claims to be a critical thinker, she has definitely stepped off the podium of one who takes the moral high ground.

In 1935 he was honoured for his contribution to the colony of Libya and in the following year was invited to be part of the honour guard at the tomb of the royal family in Turin. In 1938 when a series of anti-semitic laws were passed, the Ovazza family were hit hard. They were no longer allowed to marry ‘Aryan’ Italians, to send their children to state schools, to employ Italian servants or be in the army. Much more damaging were the rules that stated they could not employ over 100 people, or own valuable land or buildings.This put an end to the Ovazza business and banking operations. Ettore Ovazza was expelled from the party and his brother from the military. In 1939 Jews were banned from all skilled jobs and cafes in Turin displayed signs saying that Jews were no longer welcome. Jewish organisations were disbanded and many Jews converted to Catholicism or emigrated abroad. However, Ettore Ovazza accepted the racial laws without renouncing his faith. He was reluctant to leave the country, hoping that the Duce would alter his views. He wrote an anguished letter to Mussolini, expressing his pain: ‘Was it all a dream we nurtured? I can’t believe it. I cannot consider changing religion, because this would be a betrayal - and we are fascists. And so? I turn to You - DUCE - so that in this period- so important for our revolution, and you do not exclude that healthy Italian part from the destiny of our Nation.’ The family began to live on savings and sales of possessions. Permission had to be asked to own a radio or take the family to the seaside. Yet, despite the growing danger, and the emigration of his brother, Ettore Ovazza kept his family in Italy, only at the end of the war attempting to reach safety in Switzerland. Sadly, it is something that I expected the moment she came out as a Catholic convert earlier this year. I am not saying that every Catholic is a H0locaust denier. No way. I know that there are many decent humans who attend the churches. But being born and bred in a Catholic stronghold in Central Europe (my mother's side is Jewish), I can recognize the patterns when I see them.
Oh wow I did not know that In Europe it was the contrary. The RC Church was very kind to the Jews during the Shoah. Some of the Protestants, not so much. Not all, of course, but generally speaking. Of course, prior to that, the Church was pretty brutal, but saw her error.

I did not understand why my parents insisted so much on me being like Susan, the Catholic girl next door- for "my own good". I did not understand why my mom started to attend the Catholic church all of a sudden (I was 9 or 10)- learned only later that her employer would otherwise fire her...and in those days, being fired was a super serious issue. So, in order to keep us going, she had to pretend to be a Catholic. Poor mom. She tried so hard to protect me.

There are none. What you'll find are very nuanced arguments (to questions or allegations) that people who cannot listen, misconstrue, because they are told to.
I used to enjoy her podcast, but since she hosted Finkleston, I just can't bring myself to listen to her again. I'm Catholic and I'm so disappointed in her as she is in the process of converting to Catholicism. I'm really concerned about the safety of Jews.

I am an evangelical Christian and supporter of Israel and the Jewish people. I do not know why Candace has gone off the deep end in this area. Over 90% of Christians I would say absolutely support Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
