Check out the official trailer for Candela Obscura: Crimson Mirror!
The fight against the otherworldly evils plaguing the Fairelands shall continue with a new three episode chapter that includes a new circle, a new gamemaster, and a whole new set of magickal foes.
This circle of Candela Obscura will include investigators Aimee Carrero, Imari Williams, Alexander Ward, and Taliesin Jaffe alongside our Gamemaster, Liam O'Brien.
Candela Obscura: Crimson Mirror will premiere on February 29th at 7pm Pacific on Twitch and RU-vid.
The RU-vid VOD will be available the following Monday after the episode’s initial broadcast and the podcast version will be available one week following the initial broadcast on your favorite podcast streaming service.
The rest of the arc will continue on the last Thursday of each month.

Candela Obscura is an ongoing horror drama that follows an esoteric order of investigators as they use centuries of knowledge to fight back a mysterious source of corruption and bleed. Leveraging improv and gaming as story mechanics, the series features the Candela Obscura game, which is run on the Illuminated Worlds System, both created by Critical Role’s publishing company, Darrington Press.
This chapter of Candela Obscura will include investigators Aimee Carrero, Imari Williams, Alexander Ward, and Taliesin Jaffe alongside our Gamemaster, Liam O'Brien.
Taliesin Jaffe will also be continuing his role as our Lightkeeper.
Candela Obscura was originally created by Taliesin Jaffe and Chris Lockey, with Spenser Starke and Rowan Hall serving as lead game designers and writers. Steve Failows serves as our director and co-produced this project alongside Maxwell James.

just be aware that Liam's early games are a bit confusingly named (and not in order in the official playlist last I checked) so you might want to look at the wiki to get the right viewing order. "Liam's Quest: Full Circle" is a sequel to the first game Liam ever DMed (although it could be watched independently).

Alex Ward is one of my absolute favorite players in the live-RP space. His work in LA by Night is immaculate. He gets so physically into his performance, you really lose the player, and only the character remains. It'll be exciting to see him sink his teeth into Candela.

Liam is excellet at horror and it's great to finally see Taliesin at the table! :) Anyone familiar with World of Darkness already knows that spooky is Alex's bread & butter and at this point Aimee should be plenty familiar at a CR-table! Also curious about Imari as well. I gonna admit, Im not familiar with his VO-work, but if previous circles taught me anything, its always the "new player", who surprises you the most!

My guess that past just regular marketing, the team/players have the choice? Like how in game each DM has done something specific to add to their world and storytelling (Spenser with the single lighting, Aabria with the solo camera shots, Matt probably had one but he was the first so it's hard to discern)

And lmao I didn't recognize Taliesin, I was like "that guy looks like him but it isn't... right?" and then saw the credits xD Sounds like this circle will have a more hopeful tone than the others, not that I didn't enjoy the darkness of Needle&Thread and Tide&Bone but it's time for a more optimistic outlook and benevolent representation of Candela. Can't wait!!!!!

Aimee's the kind of player who describes what she wants to do and then makes the mechanics fit, rather than limiting herself to what's on her paper, so I can't WAIT to see what she does in the horror genre!
