i've said on your husbands channel before that i admire the way you raise these boys, but ill say the same to you. i'm an old man (57) and my mom taught me to cook, can, pickle, grill, etc the fish and game that i caught! and fen will never be sorry that he learned these things! i may try this one this weekend! thanks!
My god Liz, that looks amazing. Not enough of this going on in UK. Nobody teaching their kids how to cook. Your husband helped me out with my bow shooting loads of times. Now I'm going to have to follow your cooking now. First class family with real family skills.
My lil' Girl enjoyed watching you and Fen cook. She was so amused by his taste testing. She has been helping me cook dinners, learning new kitchen skills and now she see that other mommies jump in and help out/take over too, when it's needed. We think y'all did a great job!
Thank you. Tasting is the best part of cooking 😉 Fen never likes it when I take over what he’s doing but sometimes you just gotta do what ya got to do 🤷♀️
I loved this video!!!! I laughed several times because Finn(? on spelling) is so cute. He just had to taste it and he looked like he liked it too. :-) I liked to get my girls in the kitchen with me too. But it does require a bit of patience for it. Great recipe idea! I just started canning our venison and this pot pie recipe is a perfect way to use it. Thank you for this recipe and "Thank you Finn! You were an awesome helper."
@@lizhayes7474 could you possibly do a video on how you prepare your backpacking meals? I saw Clay had some on one of his recent hunts and know you guys made your own dried meals. Would be cool to see the items you use and how it’s done.
I got a kick out of Fen taste testing as y'all went along.😁 In one of the captions you mentioned making a second one for backpacking meals. How do you store those meals for the trips? Thanks.
