Canon 1DX Review and Footage

I wouldn't say that. Thing is we don't know which sharpness setting it was on, nor the contrast setting or saturation setting, or even which NR setting it may have been on. Nearly all reviews of video or photos about nearly all cameras never share this very critical info, it makes a difference on what we are looking at. It's so strange when I see people making such opinions when they know very little about the settings used, the ISO, Shutter, or f stop doesn't fully cut it for a proper opinion.

I've just bought the 16MP D4s - It would be really interesting to shoot this against the 1DX Mk1 and just compare image output.

Sharpness can be adjusted in camera or using post production. The slightblur image is cause by sensor noise when u using high iso (same thing as film---Higher ASA = Higher noise) . The truth is the iso performance in 1dx or d4 already outbeat the performance in film. Only the dynamic range and colour gamut in DSLR still nt matching the film (Recently sony new video camera F55 which just announced claims that it outbeat the film in term of colour gamut)

and as soon as you have it for a few months Canon will release a new 1d model. I'll inbox you something that might be helpful.

Apparently in High ISO department the Sony A7s goes up to 409600

Not impressed it seems we are at a plateau with ISO performance and Canon & Nikon are putting a slight blur on the images at high ISO so you in sense you are not getting as sharp as images as the lower MP cameras!

the 550D and others can also do 1/8000s with a trick

How does this compare to the Canon 5D MK3?
