This worked great for me. After soaking in alcohol overnight I swabbed around the areas where the ink meets the print head and on the other side where the ink meets the paper. It went from not printing black or yellow to full color prints again. Thank you for the tutorial.

I tried this, and left the printer open while cleaning. Lots of ink came out even some "chunks" of ink...good thing right? However, after letting it dry for at least an hour, I reinstalled the head and ink tanks but I am now getting U051 error "please install print head". I removed and reinstalled multiple times, unplugged it, etc...still no luck! I started with 95% like you did, but I did not dilute it...I tried to keep moisture down to the minimum. Any thoughts???

Also, my problem was the Cyan color was not printing beforehand...all others were OK.

What happens to the ink cartridges while the print-head is soaking for 24-48 hours?

In cartridges should be placed in a plastic bag.

I have checked the cartridges. They appear OK. Green and yellow lights are flashing. I know it's something stupid. The printer won't make me any of the right noises....and it won't print.
