just purchased this and awiaitng it. just to clarify that it has a built in batter is that right? i didnt notice you plugging it in when you printed?

@@mommygiehoney not built in. You need to buy it separate. I plug mine into a portable battery or my inverter in my car.

I think it came with the starter cartridge. I buy generic ones on Amazon and they seem to work pretty good.

Nope. For scanning I use an iPhone app. There’s so many but I use TurboScan usually.

can I hook this up right to my laptop to print? as I am not a fan of using the hotel wifi when printing something that prying eyes don't need to see. seems like no one really talks about that.

I've never tried it wired, but there's a usb-c port, so I assume so... I have used a hotspot on my phone though and that did work.

On the Canon website, it says it’s a USB-C to USB-A Cable, so just search for that and any of them should be fine.

The printer is a pain to configure. I change from using on my phone and via wifi at home. I go round in circles and can not get it to connect to the laptop. Very frustrating

@@FilipLindqvist just tried usb-c to the wall and to a battery pack and it didn’t work. 😢 I tried looking up details and it seems like if you buy the battery for it, that it might be chargeable by usb.

@@MitchMitch77-77 it’s great. Easy to stash away when I don’t use it. I print lots of forms & contracts & Amazon return labels. It works like a champ.
