Is there a reason why when connecting rode microphones to my T7 that the audio isn’t caught through the camera but it does with an iPhone? We’re trying to use the camera for podcast episodes but we need microphones for guests. Is there another microphone set you might suggest that’d work with my camera?
This was fricking incredible! Thank you for actually walking us through the features and giving us examples! Some people just tell us settings to do but give no explanation as to why. And your son is a natural at acting!
I'm happy that the video was helpful. 👍 I have more skits planned for my son, but they are for certain videos that aren't ready yet. Thanks for watching!
i have no words to explain what a legend you are. Canon should pay you! thank you for explaining step by step, everything i couldn't understand from other youtubers.
Much appreciated! Thanks. These are the cameras my students use at school, so I tried to be as straight to point, yet as thorough as I could. Glad it was helpful.
This is the exact video i have been searching the internet for. i bought a rebel t6 a few years ago and never found a tutorial video that was this informative and was using the same camera. I'm going to be making a few talking head intros to my content for my new RU-vid channel and this helped out tremendously
This was so good! I have had this camera for over two years and stopped using it because I did not even know it could record video! I thought about buying a new camera for videos but you just saved me thousands! Thank you!
This is the explanation I've been looking for, thank you!!! I especially appreciate all the examples showing how each setting changes the look of the footage. I think I'll be able to get my shot set up correctly now. 😄
I just learned that you can switch from screen mode to the viewfinder in the Sun! The sun is one of the reasons I didn't use my video mode much. This is a huge discovery for me. What an excellent all round tutorial for beginners. You just made photography more fun for me.🤗🎥 Thank you
Ha! Thanks! RU-vid is an abyss, so many good videos out there that will never be seen! I'm lucky that I have a few (including this one) that are starting to be seen though. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
Canon has no desire to be useful for any information about their junk!, I'm happy that folks like you can help! I appreciate you helping with this video, you are the man!
Ha! Thanks. My plan was to do these more often at the start of videos...but they take quite a bit more planning/work, so I only add them every once in a while. Your comment was much appreciated! Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this video! I was having trouble with changing my aperture in video mode. Even searching online yielded no results. This however, helped a lot!
One reason is that I don't do "RU-vid" like most other people. I make videos for my students on my own timeline and don't cater to an upload schedule and watch-time, etc. So the algorithm doesn't pay attention to me really. Thanks for watching!
Life saver omg I can't believe I nearly sold my camera because I didn't know how to run it this is like school and free! Omg I love it thanks soooo much!
Glad it was helpful. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know about as I will be making a bunch of new canon-related videos in the near future.
Great to hear! I am realizing that that's my main audience...people that have had their camera for awhile and want to make better use of it. Glad I could help! 🙂
Thank you for these variety of videos about Canon Rebel camera. I am getting a Canon Rebel T7 and I have been watching many videos about that camera's operation. You videos are among the top choice of mine to review how to operate my Rebel T7 camera.
Awesome! Thank you! Originally, my intent was to do way more of these type of intros, but I haven't done them on recent videos. Maybe I'll start adding them on some new videos here and there. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for this video ... I have the same camera as you . I can’t record on my camera it keeps showing “still photo shooting is not possible in movie mode “ .
Thank you so much Shawn great tutorial vid! I found my family camera EOS Rebel T3 that I have used in years and it’s blessing to get it to work again! ❤️💯
Omg you videos is so informative… thank you so much …. I just purchased a Canon Eos 2000d camera so I can create my RU-vid page …. I started playing with it … no idea what I’m doing until I watched your videos there’s so many videos on how to …… I was able to comprehend your words 😂 so thank you so much today I’ve learned a lot !!🥰🥰🥰👍🏾
This is so good!! Thank you for going into depth.. I got my camera last year and wanted to start taking picture and filming more crispy content for TikTok .. I didnt know we could use this camera to vlog! Love your content... will enjoy being a student!
Jus ordered this camera online cause it has great reviews. I’m Receiving it in 2 days and I feel like I’m gonna know the camera as soon as I Start using it !! Thank you for the examples and your attention to detail on what the settings do. Will be using this until I fully understand it!! 💯
Thank you so much this is a life saver! All I have is my uncle's camera (this one) and I needed to quickly relearn how to use it for my final project due this week
You're welcome! It's always a tough decision on how fast to deliver content, but I've been trying to get as much content jammed into videos as possible lately. Glad you got something from it...
u r not my father haha😅 I just got a t7 and it is very complexed, this is a great beginner video and so well explained I think I'll transpose it on to paper for quick reference, thanks again for your quality and well produced video's, I love that you use your kids, where else can u get free labor😂
Super helpful, thank you very much! My camera (Canon Rebel EOS T7)'s default setting had came in the AF FlexiZone' option, and I suppose playing around with the features and/or settings, I had placed it onto Quickmode... Whenever I was making videos, I was discontent over how even after manually setting the shutter button into focus, and the lens' being placed on its further away from me zoomed out position, it was very out of focus, I was quite disappointed but willing to learn more about its camera at the minimum. Turns out I just needed to place it back onto AF FlexiZone'. Suddenly I feel it's much better, so thank you for these helpful tips!
Glad it worked out for you. But yeah, there's so many little things that "throw you off" with a camera. Hopefully you can start making some quality videos now. Have a good one!
@@DumaLuva4Eva Thanks. When it makes sense, I like to get my son to film intro skits with me. I have a few others ready to go, but need the right videos to put them with. All my videos are filmed on the Panasonic G9 in 4K with the Sigma 16mm f1.4 - relatively cheap combo for really great results!
Thank you for this. I got a T5i a couple years ago used and know nothing about it, and I've starting streaming with dual cameras at times, so this information was super useful. My frame rate was awful!
