I directed this video and all the other gag comercials in the film - had no idea it was on youtube -- It was one of my first jobs after film school. so Crazy to see this after all these years. Jesse Ventura and Arnold were great to work with & FUNNY! And my choreographer was Paula Abdul with the Laker Girls.
Seriously? If so you did a fantastic job! Lol, it's been 11 years since you commented but I had to reply. My favourite is the "Climbing for Dollars" ad!
I'm supposed to take this at face value? Hmmm....it's possible. My late mother transcribed the John Lennon 1980 Playboy interview and I mentioned it there. To prove it, however, can you name the three Best Boy grips on the film?
In the movie There were also posters for other reality Shows of the same network "fear boat" and another one that I don't remember. It shows that the future is quite violent.
Think of it this way: If they made a movie about the Bible, someone would have to play the Devil. Propaganda is less the role an actor/actress plays, and more the message of the movie.
Well... Muscleman, former sportsman, hollywood actor, action hero, governor of one state of USA - it´s look like Schwarzenegger´s description, but it is also about Jesse !
Oh man this is one of my favourite all time movies. My mum gets angry at me because I watch this film a lot lol I wasn't even born in the 80's and I'm more into it than she is! :D
I remember cracking up like a hyena at this scene, too. I was telling my bf about it just the other day, and was sooo glad to find it here, lol! Still cracks me up!
Damn, how come modern movies don't have fake commercials? The closest thing we have is Starship Troopers, and that's more than a decade old. Fake ads are always awesome! Robocop and The Running Man did it so well :/
Exactly. Those movies such as Starship Troopers, Robocop, Total Recall, and The Running Man all had some truly hilarious fake commercials! I always like the one in Starship Troopers where "Everyone is doing their part" and the kids are seen stomping on bugs. And then in Starship Troopers where all the kids are fighting on who gets to play with the fully automatic machine gun, and about eight of them are tugging on the gun from different directions - and easily could have shot each other. The troopers are just laughing as if nothing is wrong. lol
this used to be my text ringtone..cracked people up.."are you ready for pain!? are you ready for suffering?! if the answer is yes, then you're ready for captain freedom's workout" my favorite part though...is the flex, HA!, and run off
Thats how MMO games shoud be promoted. Are you ready for pain, suffering? This game just created for you. As i, Captain Freedom said: Fre2play is pain, premium is gain
Hey, absolutely nothin' wrong with celebs poking fun at themselves! Look at Arnie in a bunch of his movies -- they always write gags into the script that make fun of his invincible persona.
It amazes me that we don't have an actual TV show based on the premise of 'the running man'....our government and society is almost at that point really
MrClassicDoctorWho You know, this movie really did capture the narcissism and self-absorption that today's young people are engulfed in. And, it did it 30 years ago. If they could've only predicted social media, they would've had it nailed.
