I think Singh knew since the beginning of Season 4 or the end of Season 3 and didn't let anybody know. That is why he protected Barry so much during DeVoe and didn't fire him and called him "one of the good one's" during the trial. SHOOK

Captain Singh always liked Barry, I don’t think he was always angry at him because he didn’t like him he just had a very stressful job and Barry even asked if he was ok multiple times, plus Singh’s fiancé said he always spoke so highly about him. And on Barry’s trial he said he hired him because he wanted to help and focus more on the victims’ family’s and get justice rather than just catching the bad guy and getting all the glory.

My favourite part of this clip will always be how Captain Singh said “if things get dicey, you’ll have plenty of help, isn’t that right Flash?”. That always puts a smile on my face.

The look on Joe's face implies he's not even that surprised Singh figured it out. He's more like "Ah... shit. Well Singh was probably going to figure it out eventually."

I just knew in my gut, that Singh had known for awhile, and this scene showed that perfectly. Singh is a real one

I know that in S1 Flash vs Arrow was a thing, but I think it's really cool that at a time when superheroes being bad was a thing and Civil War and BVS was being hyped up, the writers of the Flash had Captain Singh say things like "Hey maybe the Flash can help." It was really refreshing after constantly being shown that law enforcement was after superheroes. Captain Singh was always a great character.

Honestly- now currently rewatching, he totally knew in Season 3 when Barry quit his job, then came back… he never started the paperwork and in that same season, Barry violated rules. He was late, leaving and showing back up after a long periods of time I mean he let Barry off for all that- he definitely knew

David actually suspected Barry is the Flash since Season 1, especially since Barry started coming on time and finishing his work on time, but it was in Season 4 at the courtroom where he finally confirms that Barry is the Flash, but did not tell that to Barry until the ending of Season 5, i.e this scene.

Two Captains in a row to figure it out. One just stayed quiet and kept his plausible deniability, while Kramer just had to know, and put pressure on Barry to reveal his identity, which she picked up on.

Nothing but mad respect for this man and the fact that he knew exactly how many heart attacks he was giving that room when he said what he said 😅

In season 1 episode 17, at 22:28, Joe is on a call with Barry when Trickster had just escaped prison. He took a prisoner and Joe said, “He took your dad” (something like that) and Singh was right there, so he knew since season 1 guaranteed

I think Singh found out in Season 1 Episode 17 when the Trickster took hostage of Barry's dad. Joe was talking with Barry on the phone with information only the Flash would and Singh was with Joe openly discuss with Barry on the phone.

Singh knew since season 1. If you go back to S1 Ep17 The Trickster, Joe is on the phone with Barry and I believe Singh believed he was talking to the flash and he said Barry's name when the Tricksters were taking Barry's dad. Now to explain my little theory, Barry was not present when Singh ordered the precinct to search for the bomb. Barry wouldn't be searching the bomb regardless since he is not a first responder, so why would Barry be searching for the bomb and how would have he found it so fast? Also Singh almost surprised when he said Barry's name over the phone instead of him saying "Flash he took a prisoner as a hostage". For all I know I could be wrong but it seems too obvious to ruled out as a possibility.

One thing I never really knew is why they didn’t tell captain singh that Barry was flash day one, I get that the less who know the better but he is his boss and the fucking capitan of a police force who works with flash to fight metas

I think this is probably true for all heroes. Many people know their secret identity, because you know.. common sense.. but they choose to play ignorant for respect.

Ok, Barry doesn’t tell anyone his secret identity, he just gives them the obvious clues to figure it out themselves😂. I know there were some people where he actually revealed identity when they didn’t know, such as, Oliver Queen, Ralph Dibny, and Julian Albert. But those were very few people who he specifically revealed his identity to and they never knew about it before.

I mean singh probably knew cause every time barry was gone the flash appears, and barry being in prison and the flash not appearing before barry was released can't be a coincidence

I feel like Barry did more damage to his life by not telling people that he is the flash. Barry's main fear explained in season 4 was about what could happen to everybody associated with him, if everybody (including villians) knew he was the flash. Fun fact: Every single big boss villian from season 1-9 knew that Barry was the flash. Some figured it out on their own, and others Barry revealed his identity to them such as Cicada, Eva, Godspeed, and Red Death. So what is he actually running from?? Small criminals like the royal flush gang that he was already on to from the start?? If he revealed his identity to Captain Singh in Season 4, Captain Singh would have helped him and prevented him from going to prison. Captain Singh would have made something up to spare Barry. But in season 4, Captain Singh may have suspected something strange about Barry, but never had the proof. Thus, Captain Singh didn't help Barry in season 4 because he's a good, hard working cop. He would only protect those he knows are forsure innocent. Even though The Thinker had a plan for if Barry revealed his identity to the world, he would've outsmarted Devoe again by only just telling Singh that he's the flash. He doesn't need to tell the world he's the flash, but at least tell people who you work with and trust. Only 1 season later, and Captain Singh knows Barry is the flash. If Captain Singh wasnt trustworthy, imagine what he could do after season 5 with the information that he has on Barry. But guess what?? For the rest of the 4 last seasons, there was never any problem linked to if Captain Singh were to tell people that Barry is the flash. So why couldn't Barry tell Captain Singh that he was the flash in season 4?? Such stupid decisions 😂

Just informing everyone he was aware and found out Barry was the flash during Barry’s court trial in season 4 for supposedly “murdering Clifford Devoe aka the Thinker” in reality the devoes tried incriminating Barry cause he was on their trail and wanted to take down.
