In this Video I Go Over Car Alarm and Remote Start Wiring In Great Detail. Be sure to also watch my 5 part series / playlist on the installation job from start to finish.
i have done several alarms, and i think the lock relays might be a video worth doing, some dont actually understand how those relays actually work, and took me time to realize they can make a neg a postive and vice versa :)
Love the tutorial. You are an excellent installer. Dud you ever do a video on how to safely install remote start on a manual transmission. I have a viper 5701 in a dodge stratus 2dr sxt but the remote start was never hooked up because it's a manual transmission and I was told it was to dangerous. Thanks
The videos are great. I like the way you keep the wires together. How do you feel about wire looms? Probably would make the install look better. But would make it harder to get at the wires though and make it harder for a car thief as well. I'm interested in how you go about mounting the car alarm's antenna in the car? Do you have to remove the A pillar trim piece? How do you route the car alarm antenna from the windshield behind the rear view mirror to the car alarm?
Great video! I saw this tutorial, and in it you hold up a micro-toggle switch and say that it can be used for a little trick-of-the-trade solution for installing a automatic trans remote start system into a manual trans car. Did you ever get around to making the tutorial on this? (With all of the videos, and the business, and family, I know that your time is stretched pretty thin, but the switch idea has intrigued me very much)
Unlock wires - What do you think about the 451m? Do you use them personally or do you find it instinct to use your own two relays for something like a Ford one-wire door lock system?
I'm installing a Viper 5704 into a 06 Odyssey. I enjoyed this video VERY much but there are a fewused wires that were not covered and was hoping you could clarify for me. I am going to list them and you can just tell me if I need them or not. First is Parking light isolation wire, Flex relay input 87a key side and Fused (30a) accessory/starter input. I also have an Ignition 1 input/output and a Fused (30a) ingnition 1 input...which one do I use as the Ignition 1 wire? Thank you...the videos are great.
First. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Its pretty detailed. I have a 2011 Crown vic. It being a P7B It is pretty basic. Power W/L and seat. no factory alarm at all. I also have this exact alarm. I feel cofident I can install with some patients.lol. the things that I need to know and can probaly google but wanted to ask you. Door locks i would like to use the 4x unlock feature and flash the head lights as the alarm trigger lock/unlock/sounding. im just tring to figure out door lock and light polarity would you happen to know? My wife wants one on here old saab 95 but i have read its a nightmare and no pro will even touch becouse of the TWICE security. Even though i do have a spare key i can leave tie wrapped near the ignition for singnal. thank again so appricative of this video
Hi. Im trying to install a basic keyless entry in my car. It seems your very familiar with the avital systems. I was looking at the avital 2101 and the 3100..i noticed that the 2101 horn wire is a (-) which my car horn is..and the 3100 has the siren i believe and a (+) brown wire. I only plan on keyless and horn.
