Basically the same as Power Acoustik Vertigo 10000. The CAB 22 is strappable, the Vertigo is not. Also looks like the CAB might have some upgraded caps.
thanks brither love ur vids, and amp looks BEAUTIFUL!!!! For power and price this thing is untouchable in my opinion! Guts are just DOPE! Built like a tank, one pretty ass tank!
SunDown is a class act all around. They not only believe in their products, they also believe in other companies and support them. In other words they are not snobs' . Thank you for being you everyone at SunDown Audio. Your shit indeed does not have an odor. I have spoken.
Just pulled the trigger on this amp. Hard to beat this at $250. It was in FedEx hands a couple hours after ordering and has a delivery date for the 7th. Can't beat that service.
One of the best purchases I've made so far. I went with double 2/0 inputs because im still wired to .5 ohm and I need to upgrade my electrical again.(Excessive Amperage 320amp Alt and a D2700). Been playing with it and having lots of fun until i see low 12v then I let it charge back up. Once I go lithium full tilt should be crazy loud. Enjoy it my dude!
Are these the same numbers with single run of power/grounds? I should correct if jot why it doesn’t have dual inputs?. I have one pushing to sundown sa 12s, sounds good but wonder it really getting them 2200 watts
Not sure what the specs are on this amplifier but I just listened to a demo of this amp in a SQ system where the guy switched out his SQ amp and subwoofer temporarily to give me a demo of a Sundown Audio sa 10 in a t-line box that he was selling. The amplifier was super clean with excellent damping and the single 10 in a well built t-line was probably the best single sub system that I have ever heard and I have been into car Audio for 20+ years.
That is a sweet amp with specs like that. I'm just wondering how long it will hold up with daily use? I would love to see this amp in a hatch back and see how hard it will male the window breathe.
I’ve ran mine for 9 months at 1 ohm daily and beat the hell out of it and it still running like a dream I’ve clamped it and it’s doing 4830 watts and never gets hot but you need good electrical it’s worth the investment
@@chrisgraham2869 Thanks for the response. I was going to order one but backed out. Mainly because I couldn't really find any feedback on running them for long periods of time. I have just been using my old Rockford amp from way back in the day when they were called out for being cheater amps 😆. It's the Power Punch 200 Trans Ana amp. Its only wired in a 4 ohm, because I take long rides and it over heats if I were it at 2 ohms. What's crazy is I can sell that amp and buy one like this and put cash in my pocket as well cause they still hold value even being as old as it is. I will probably look for a collector some where so I can sell it local and buy this amp. I did run my wires already for this amp though. I will have to buy me a pair of subs for it though that will handle the 1 ohm. Thanks again for the feedback so now I can get this amp.
@@bbay1977 I wouldn't trade a Rockford for Chinese garbage like CAB. My rockford amp is 14 years old and still runs perfect, I guarantee the same can't be said about CAB amps. The name is car audio bargain, it says cheap right in the name.
I’m buying two and strap them up on two crossfire 18 inch subs. I love doing budget amps on big subs. The subs are the xs version 2. Four inch coils .7 ohms per coil. In a custom enclosure about 8 cubes.
@@michaeldye2179 got mine yesterday took it to audio shop to get it swapped and it was slammin for 20min then it blew the 250a fuse. Cut van off put a 300a fuse in and when i started it the amp instantly shorted out and blew the 300a fuse along with it. I think something malfunctioned in the amp when the 250a fuse blew. Had it running at 1.4 ohms on 2 DD712s
My old ass Orion xtr 2250 would make 82 volts into a 2 ohm load , feeding them 17.8 volts no protect circuit, so ac voltage on the output is key to spl
Been running two of these strapped at 1ohm final load, 0.5ohm per amp, on two American Bass XFL 10s and holy f#@k these are beast amps. The American Bass XFLs finally fell victim to the cab22's.....obviously lol. Thought I had an issue with one of my amps, opened the trunk and the foam surrounding on both subs was destroyed, both spiders on both subs ripped off the coils and tinsel leads broke. But damn they were POUNDING before the died. Ordered two recones today 🤗
I've currently got the Elites and a single cab22. I just bought a 200ah agm battery yesterday from a friend and plan to build a box that seals the trunk off so I don't get any rattle. Next year I'm gonna get a 2nd cab22 and see how long the Elites would last lol
Pro tip - Warranty stickers hold no value in the court of law. They are actually ILLEGAL. The 1975 Magnuson-Moss Warranty act allows consumers to open electronics. Kudos
Decent, I am one though I don't rely on that dybo much due to systems have rise so no one is going to literally be wiring at .5ohm and it doesn't rise. Nice little amp though wish these guys would stop playing though and make bigger boys.
So much false info put out there. The only way your getting 68volt clean out of that amp. Is if your have 4 volt or HIGHER preout voltage You have fixed ohm loads. So you don't have impedance rise. A person with 2 volt isn't going to get anywhere near that on clean power Come on. Stop feeding this bullshit to the customer base
These test are so stupid, nobody runs 14.4v in their vehicle but competitors Most runs for daily drivers + a battery is around 13.2-13.8v 14.4 isn’t close to normal, so these are never real world test
So how exactly does a brand like Car Audio Bargain make a 2200 watt amp for 250 bucks? A comparable amp from a decent brand like Rockford Fosgate costs 2k, a JL Audio 1000 watt is around 1k, do CAB engineers have some magic that no one else does? Are the CAB engineers better than the millions invested in engineering by Rockford, Kicker, JL, Alpine, MTX, and all the other big brands out there? How is it that only these no name brand dirt cheap amps seem to spit out massive numbers on the amp dyno? Is that thing even remotely accurate? I have heard many amps like these and a 1k watt decent amp pounds way harder and sounds much cleaner than these bajillion gigawatt Chinese Cheapos. They can't even engineer a case that looks like they spent 5 minutes thinking about it so how do you expect them to bottle lighting inside it? How does it cool with over 2k watts flowing thru it, the heat sink is pathetic and it has no fans, the power terminals are casted out of pot metal, and nothing on that amp looks remotely quality. BTW, I have two of them at my shop right now and they look like trash, I was thinking of telling my customer to return them and get something decent but I will hook them up and see if they burn his car down.
@@brianhager8874 I installed them and they sound like garbage, that is why they are so cheap. They are a Chinese amp board that CAB bought on wish for 50 bucks and they put them in their own case. The sound quality is just terrible, the 4 channel has a high pitched whine even when the car is not running and the 4500 watt mono hits softer than a Rockford 1000 watt. I was not happy with them at all but my customer seems to like them, to each his own I guess.
