This does not actually describe how to do what the title says. "The door will not lock " is not applicable.

Do you remember the size of the torx screws for the side of the door that hold the actuator?

I’m drivers door is locked on my 2000 Buick Park Avenue and will not open. I had already removed the inner door panel knowing that it was about to go out. However even though the door panel is off, the door is shut and I can’t get it open. I’m moving the locking rods and that isn’t helping. I’ve even removed the bolts for the outer door handle but the handle will not come off. The outer door handle will not pull down for it to be removed. I’ve stopped for fear of breaking it.

Hi there im looking for some advise please, my daughter has a 2011 vauxhall corsa D the issue she has is the passenger door wont lock via keyfob or key, the driver and boot doors work as they should, When you press the door lock on the dashboard the driver and boot lock but not the passenger door, do you have any idea what might be at fault? I got a 2011 GMC Acadia which passenger side has this issue but instead of staying unlocked it stays locked. Could the locking mechanism be the issue?

good evening I have a 2012 chevrolet aveo and when I open the door the ceiling light does not come on either the driver or the front passenger. Sometimes if I open the door, the ceiling light works, but most of the time, it does not. you know what could be wrong with .the car locks and unlocks normally

I had to get someone to grind the door off then i could replace the lock lmao.

Take it to a pro. Worst case, cut outer door handle off. Then you have a opening. Handle can be $15 for cheap cars

I've tried everything to open the Rear Passenger Door on my brother's 2006 Chevy Impala. Pulled panel, removed all from from the inside. Door will NOT open from exterior or interior. I've pulled on the cables from the mechanism. Nothing.

Yall gone have to brake the lock actuator from the door then you can see the little slider that unlocks and locks the door just push or pull the lever and it will unlock

Can anyone tell me where to look for this one: My central locking works fine, it locks and unlocks, but the drivers door locks and unlocks a half second after the other three locks pop. What's going to cause that and where do I go to fix it? It's not a big issue, but it does throw up a message on the dash saying Lock Error... go see the Dealers.
