not realy if you want it done right this is the way to do it the problem is the scratch is in the middle of the door and if you only fill it and paint it in a small area where there are no hard lines to blend the clear coat with you always gonne see the over lapin clear coat there is no buffing that out you will always see it and on a car like that in the price range of 100k + you want it done right you dont want overlapping clear coat marks so thats why he sands the entire door for a repaint and new clear coat to fully mask it

interesting points ,if anyone else needs to find out about car spray painting tips try Alkarno Spray Paint Alchemist (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.
There are 2 different cleaners we use,solvent and waterborne.Solvent cleaner removes grease ,wax,silicone,etc.Waterborne cleaner is alcohol based and removes things like bug splatter,basically any contaminate that is water based and we use it to clean off the bodywork before primer.And some waterborne cleaners have antistatic and we use it on raw bumpers as well
Hmmm could have saved a bundle of masking tape. with one strip of foam tape for door jamb. Just syaing works great for me fades the paint in jambs and no need to cover the inside jambs.

Hi, what's your opinion about those electric orbital sanders? Do they work well even for sanding the whole car ? they're resistant and able to work hard ? If you'll buy only one for all kind of jobs will you choose 2.5 or 5mm orbit ? Do you prefer electric or pneumatic ? My compressor has only 200lt and empties very quickly so a long time i'm temped to change for electric sander, but afraid they won't last or could be a bad choice Hope you've a few minutes to reply me Best Regards
Some asshole hit the rear of my car, luckily the paint was only scratched and my the rear panel was slightly bent. Now I'm just watching this to see how they fix these cars.
I'd like to hear it step by step, but I am hearing conflicting views. I have heard for deep scratches you need to do it like this but others are saying just fill it. I've seen other RU-vidrs repair deep scratches by buffing and you can still see the scratch.
Question, I looked up this video because my stupid self scratched the back passenger door against a cement wall🤦🏻♀️ they seem pretty deep and there’s a dent too. It’s harder to tell right away because the car is white. Is this around 300 euro how much would my damage be around? Just an estimate. I wish I could put a picture :/
You could do that but some shops like to use as little body filler as possible or none at all so that the finished work is nearly just like the manufacturer process of painting the vehicle.
So I'm guessing that first coat (21:00 minutes) was the Epoxy Primer right? And for how many minutes did you heat it up? ...also noticed using 2 types of cleaners (blue bottle in 32:26 and orange bottle on 33:50) can you please emphasize I'll appreciate it and Thanks boss you are the best✌

It would have been quicker to sand the door down and paint the whole thing. You also didn't finish it. Not sure how this is professional scratch repair, you left the car with a huge two tone matt grey door.

Réparer sans utiliser du mastic est toujours meillieur. Avec la reparation qu'il a fait tu peux etre sur que la reparation va etre aussi belle dans 5 a 10 ans. En utilisant du mastic la reparation risque de s'affaisser or meme craquer au fil des ans. Le seul point negatif que je peux trouver sur cette reparation c'est qu'il se force a peinturer jusqu'au bord de la porte sans blender la couleur dans la porte d'en avant.
