In a crazy time like NONE OTHER in the modern history of this planet, we are lucky enough to bear witness to these genii, there level of communication far supersedes any words spoken ever. This is welcome relief when much of the planet is being dragged down to a much lower vibration. Now, how do artists run the show, and policy wonks & politicians become extinct??
He's from the Dominican Republic. She's from Japan. They're playing a song by an African American on an instrument invented in Italy. Pity the increasingly divided and nationalistic world can't learn something from this. It threatens to become just a fireworks display but then when you least expect it either or both of them (how can they communicate their next move to each other?) pull out the essential core of this great composition.
Thank you very much, I love those two pianists. I was lucky to have been to several Hiromi concerts in France and Canada, each time it was a marvel! She was brimming with energy and virtuosity.
How in the HECK did I miss this, as a Hiromi fan? And then I realized either I didn't subscribe or somehow it got whacked. Fixed, I'm back. :-) I was really hoping for a third with her and Chick, but alas... And then this, smiling again! Man FLYIN fingers all over that stage. I hope they were able to clean up and reattach any lost ones afterward.
I have been VERY bewildered by the disappearance of this, my favorite of all perhaps, performances, and certainly that of these two... Is this available somewhere I can "secure" it? I used to keep a link on my iPhone and home computer to play whenever i was feeling the need, and then, it seems like it's been a year or so... it's been gone. Thanks for reloading it!
Yeah it confused the heck out of me when I was searching it to show a friend but couldn't find it anywhere. Hopefully the video will stay up this time!
Интересно,что еще хочет слышать тот кому это не понравилось.? Согласитесь это высокий уровень двух виртуозов.Скорее всего просто попало "не под настроение"
p.s. John Nguyen, is this the very same fidelity, etc., as the previous one? don't know if it's my computer or even headset.... it seems to have less bass? (could be my brain changing with the years also... :) )
Hey Rory, quality seems the same to me, but perhaps it is the victim of double encoding (RU-vid -> Somewhere -> Back to RU-vid), but the video quality seems untouched so I'm not sure. I wish we could somehow get access to the original recordings but I'm not sure how.
@@johnnguyen1648 well, thank you so much for your work on behalf of everyone out here. Again, I couldn't even think of how i could BUY not only the particular performance audio, but the visuals of Hiromi and Michel's interactions are beyond words or most treasures upon this planet. I used to keep the link on my iphone and if i was feeling depressed i would listen watch and be re-inspired. again, thanks!!!
Well, it's wonderful. Both are great, but I also feel the difference. Hiromi Uehara’s performance makes me feel that there is a gap between each note, no matter how fast the passage is played. It seems that it creates a unique and strong groove. Michel Camilo's sound felt more linear.
She wants him to reciprocate so badly. Too bad there are like ten people on Earth with the sufficient skill and possibly none with the sufficient psychological profile as well.
@@flyingdics1 If you watch her face it seems like she's feeling the series of emotions she's trying to convey with the music, embodying/reliving memories and experiences.
