Carbon tax has been around since Stephen Harper played with the idea in 2008. If carbon pricing were the cause of inflation and increased costs then the inflation rate in 2019 wouldn't be on par with 2006. The global shipping and economy getting the brakes slammed on during COVID and increasing product scarcity, THAT impacted inflation. People who escaped the 2010 crash with some money and started buying "investment properties" impacted inflation. Suggest having a look at your heating bill . For natural gas , equal monthly billing , our heating bill is $115 monthly and $38 of that is the carbon tax . PLus HST is charged on top of that . @rps1689 Месяц назад
Yep. He's a corporate shill. Compressed liquified or compressed hydrogen is not a source of energy itself and is a storage and transmission medium; it's made mostly from fossil fuel now. Hydrogen fusion energy is available as sunlight, but the process can't be reproduced by humans yet. Though waste from a thorium fuel cycle needs long term storage, at least the waste is more stable than that of the uranium fuel cycle and drops down to safe levels of radiation just after a few hundred years; still a challenge, but noting like that of dealing with the waste from today’s and past plants.
