As the Kagero player in the video, I'll say two things. One: This was the first game played in the store with that clan, period, and there was a lot of improper builds. Two, as such he was more interested in using Phantom Blaster Dragons skill (TWICE) for fun than to win the game at this point. The person in question is actually a very lethal Shadow Paladin player, and if I were to be building a SP deck, I'd take his advice in a heartbeat.
Stand up the vanguard!!!! Update: 30/11/2021 I have gotten into vanguard and made new friends playing it it is a game that lets you connect with others 😁
Same to be honest , I just built my new deck today after getting back into it, I have yet to face anyone as I'm still trying to understand my duck's abilities haha
If you're talking about the ability where you use 3 rear guard to get +10k. The Kagero player guarded with a card that nullifies the attack when he discards a card.
I've played many tcg's in my day. But never have I actually found myself about to watch two people play an entire game before. I like the speed of this game. I like how it flows with that speed while still keeping it a little complex. I think after three years of not playing a tcg, I might give this one a try.
@lulukg101 yes, the shadow paladin deck is from a booster set as its not a trial deck and that time, the english version of eclipse of illusionary shadows booster set is not released yet
I'm new at this, during the drive check if you happen to draw a heal trigger and you have equal or more damage than your opponent, what happens? do you keep the heal trigger in hand and recover one damage? or do you just get the power from the trigger and no effect on damage? please explain in detail
no matter what the situation when u draw a heal trigger from a damage check or drive check you can heal 1 damage and add 5000 attack power to any of your front units
What kind of deck would you recommend for someone like me who is very interested in this game and wants to start playing? I was planning to get the Holy Paladins because there is a structure deck for them and i don't have a lot of money. are they any good for a beginner?
I live in BC, in Vancouver, and I know countless shops that sell Vanguard. I've got a Spike Brothers deck, and in the process of building my Gold Paladin and Angel Feather decks. My brother has Kagero, and I'm not too sure what he'll be building afterwards. Maybe Nova Grapplers.
The shadow paladin player made his mistake when he attacked with his vanguard first. He should attacked with his rearguard so when he got the Stan he could've had an extra attack and he could've won then and there.
I've watched this card fight a TON of times and the one thing I've always question: They using the Japanese or English cards? The banter is great and the laid back nature of this card game is what draws me so much and makes me wish I knew more people who played the game
@ming449 points? Oh, is that something specific to that card shop? I meant more of an online source maybe, because sady, I don't have any card shops around
nice game!!! cant wait til it is released in the us unfortunately we would have to wait til middle to end of next year to start getting the shadow paladins =( but still cant wait regardless to make an shadow paladin deck & hope that they come out with an shadow paladin version of King of Knights, Alfred (if they ever will) lol
I am using the kagero trail deck and am planning on boosting it I plan on boosting it with an aleph combo as well as the amber dragon ride chain combo I'm asking to see if any one can give me any advice to if this is a bad idea it would be apriciated
If your just playing for fun then I don't see it being a problem as with aleph you wouldn't need Bellicosity Dragon. So you could go 4x Perfect Guard(Which ever one you prefer), 4x Amber Dragon Dawn, 4x Embodiment of Armor, Bahr, 2x Demonic Dragon Mage, Kimnara for grade 1. 4x Dragon Knight, Aleph, 3x Berserk Dragon, 4x Amber Dragon Dusk for grade 2. That leaves you 8 spaces for Grade 3 so you go 3x, 3x, and then 2x of something else if you wanted or just 4x Aleph and 4x Eclipse. Just try to keep away from people who copy the tournament winning decks cause its no fun to play the people who play to win.
yea i like it how it has the same rules in the show and in real life not like yugio but i have played many tgc games like pokemon, overpower, heroclix, VS. this is more injoyable so far probly just nicer people too where i go.
