On May 31, Cardi B dropped a verse on GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion's "Wanna Be" remix and took direct shots at Bia. Bia responded with "Sue Meee?" and now I'm here to break this down. Let's discuss. #cardib #bia #wannabe
Why would Cardi continue responding to Bia? She has little to gain from battling, while Bia has everything to gain. She’d really be doing Bia a favour.
I know nothing about this beef tbh. I really like bia and cardi is alright. Cardi has never really appealed to me much but regardless of that i can still recognize how talented she is. But i just dont listen to either of them enough or at least keep up with their lives/careers to know anything about whats going on here. Love that you're giving the female rap artists just as much coverage as the male artists tho. Loved youre outline in the rapsody vid that there shouldnt be male and female rap artists. Just rap artists. Cause the women are really bringing the heat in the rap game the last few years and some of them just dont get enough credit for what they are doing. You got me intrigued with this vid so im gonna go back and listen to both of their catalogs a lil more and do some more research into this cause im definitely feeling left out on this one. 😂
I agree that Sue Me felt rushed - it has the same sample as Like That, which had the potential to be a big move - the track wasn’t bad - Bia is a good rapper - but it wasn’t as sharp as it could’ve been - hope she takes her time with everything else after this - idk if she’ll flat out beat Cardi, cause that fanbase is huge - but she could win/steal some new fans - and she’s talented and would deserve more recognition It’s crazy, Cardi can get dismantled for writers like Drake, and for taking long on projects like Kendrick.. Bia just gotta calculate & deliver
It feels like BIA is reaching for engagement, and this isn't the first time. Also, if you claim another artist can't rap on the beat, that should have been a top priority on this record.
I been following and listening to Bia for 4 years now and always felt she should be a little bigger. Her diss track did sound rushed but I respect her pen and her music. Hope i dont get jumped in the comments just cause i said I really like Bia's music.
I like Cardi but tbh she doesn’t have mastery over the English language no shade because English is her first language but I have doubts about her pen and lyrical bandwidth.
This might help Bia out because I haven’t heard anything from her since London. I don’t even be understanding the female rap beefs because I don’t know anything about what they could personally be upset about lol
@@RobMarkman the guys are usually upset about women lately it seems like. I just don’t know anything about the women’s personal lives because it seems like everyone comes at Cardi for nothing 🤷🏾♀️
As a dude from Boston, I rock with BIA but I don’t think she’s ready for this moment. I hate that she’s seemingly become a proxy battle in this larger female rap cold war.
@@lacheinc once u have other writers as an mc, u are voided from any GOAT convo...this is the type of shit that tarnishes women's hip hop being respected on a lyricism level.
I know you mentioned that this has been brewing for some time now but do you think this could also be the marketing teams pressing on more beef to get more press/headlines and therefore streams? Just because of the timing.
Could be from Bia’s side, I dunno. Doesn’t make sense for Cardi to do that. It’s definitely been brewing, someone on Team Bia could’ve been like “ok turn it up now.” But honestly could easily just be Bia’s competitive side, cause the record isn’t even on streaming. So if it’s a marketing team they not hustling it the right way.
@@RobMarkman that’s true. I didn’t consider the fact that the song isn’t on streaming. Excited to see where this goes. Thanks for the reply and loving all the content so far. Specially the approach. The way you just share your thoughts and not giving music/art a score. I like labels and categories but it’s nice to not have them at all times. Specially with such subjective topics.
@@RobMarkman Its not on streaming platforms, so it clearly is not marketing driven rob...just say it. Cardi has no motion and i know a lot of yall wont accept that because yall arestill stuck in bodak yellow. Its the reason why her album wont come out. Even ice spice outstream her songs. And i get very disappointed by these so called journalists who pride themselves on representing hip hop culture and its pure essence but be pushing everything that goes against it including ghostwriting..putting them together with people who really put their sweat and tears in this.
Not gonna lie as both an artist and a lover of Hip-Hop, these beefs that’s been happening as of late especially Kendrick and Drake has been getting both toxic and unnecessary. All of these beefs and diss tracks is starting to get corny and is being used a marketing strategy to promote music to me is lame. There is much better ways to compete and prove who’s the better MC/artist.
It’s lame asf that y’all not calling cardi out as a fraud for suing in a rap battle as a hip hop head who’s doing that?????that’s lame asf this girl goes live before she’s gets in a booth because she’s not a rap artist lmfao bia needs a huge backing behind her then she would be just as big as cardi all she has to do is go against Nicki and that support would be huge and yall know it.
She rap about what internet is talking about her kids her husband but its fire rap about cardi have you been in studio with cardio or bia stop thought you was about real hip hop not for real just judgement enjoyed this one section but am good bia music cant touch cardi all her music get more play more views shows forself bless
But that's what goes for today's an cardib music old music still get played from what 6 to 7 years ago that's what music is about is your music still played years later so regardless whatever people say the girl music is the shit just always got hate on her it's really sicken bless
What? You sound dumb! BIA has deleted all positive tweets about Cardi and writing negatively about Cardi on Twitter ever since working with nicki. She also dissed Cardi on the Dreezy record. This is Cardi replying so next time just ignore.
