Exactly. Afro Hair must be altered to achieve the look of a Carefree Curl. Softer hair textures can do without the chemicals, but Afro Hair must be altered. Rock your Afro if you do not want to alter it. ❤️❤️💯💯

You know I hair salons, they NEVER left. Even after the Soul Glo - Coming to America joke, folk never going to give up the Curly perm. It's perfect for those who have got flashes, sweat a lot, or isn't hairstyling saavy. And it's a lot more affordable and less time consuming! They come in for the service, male and female of all ages. 👍🏾

I used super. Depending on the amount of curl, white Perm rods or a combination of white and gray. The larger the rod, the less CURL and MORE wave you will have which may result in the Hair going straight FASTER. That's my opinion though. Your stylist may differ. Thanks for watching! 👍🏾

Great question. According to the DESCRIPTION of your hair in its current state, it appears the Keratin is still on the Hair or the Hair has been compromised. I doubt the Gina/Jeri Curl would be great options. Since you want a curly hair style, I would rod set may hair with the LARGE orange rods, just like a would a perm or coil the set when rodding or I would braid it to give it a rest from external stressors (i.e manipulation and chemicals). As your hair grows, cut your hair quarterly to promote the performance of any hairstyle. I hope that helps. 👍🏾 I have other video on my chanel that could.help navigate your understanding.

You stated in your interview with TwoLaLa differences between the original Jherri curl, Wave nouveau, Carefree curl, and your curl system but you failed to state how your system is different from wave nouveau or the care free curl. You stated that wave nouveau and care free curl first separates the hair with the chemical, sets the hair on the perm rods, then applies more chemicals. Is it possible your instructors did not teach you how to properly do the wave nouveau or care free curl because from what I’ve seen and know, no knowledgeable stylist reapplies “more chemical” to the hair shaft after the perm rods are set when doing the wave nouveau or care free curl. Then you concluded your comparison by saying when doing your “Gina curl” technique you do not put the chemical on the perm rod set so there’s no way of over processing the ends every time one comes in for a retouch. Well, neither do other stylist when doing the wave nouveau or care free curl. My point: You explained how your system differs from the original Jherri curl- a system that was discontinued by all practicing stylists decades ago-but didn’t explain the difference between your system and wave nouveau and care free curl. Instead you lied on wave nouveau and care free curl bc you stated that during wave nouveau and carefree curl chemical is applied at the beginning to straighten the hair as well as after the perm rods have been inputted into the hair, which is not true. The only thing that is applied to the hair after perm rods have been put in during wave nouveau or care free curl is neutralizer for oxidation. Black people have been getting what you now call a Gina curl for decades, whilst also keeping healthy hair. It’s disrespectful for you to insult and lie on the techniques of wave nouveau and care free curl to boost your brand. Be better than your ancestors. Please ask Ladosha, if clients can wait 6 months to a year before getting a retouch. Please ask Ladosha, if she can use up to three to four chemical strengths on one section of hair to address each p\porosity level down the hair shaft. Ask Ladosha, if she can go from a curl to a straight perm, and then back to a Curly Perrm. Please ask Ladosha if clients can wash and condition their hair everyday if they want to. @@NuKarriuss ...Thanks for the comments. This is simply a classic Carefree Curl Perm service video. It's comparing the new and popular Gina Curl service. The Wave Nouveau and Carefree Curl DO have entirely two different chemicals to REARRANGE the hair. Per both manufacturers instructions, the hair is rinsed after its rearranged. Then the curl booster of sorts is applied and the new curl pattern is set using the Perm rods of choice. After the recommended sitting time, hair is rinsed. Next, neutralizer is applied. Then that sits per the manufacturers recommendation, and VOILA the customer has a new curl pattern! That's it. 👍🏾 That's exactly what the video highlights; how safe, affordable and easy this classic Carefree cold wave perm service offers qualified customers. Again, this is not anything fancy. I'm merely pointing out how the Curly perms never left beauty salon. There are many of us licensed professionals who still do them. I do one every week! 😂😂😂 It also highlights Dr. Willie Morrow as the originator of this service in its CREAMED formulation, The California Curl compared to classic thio that's in liquid form (Jheri Curl). I'm lost on disrespecting our ancestors. The entire video pays homage to the history of Africans altering hair. ☺️ I'm not quite sure if the video's message got lost in translation. @@GinaCurl Ladosha wears gloves when rodding because that's what the manufacturer (Carefree Curl)requires. Ladosha recommends retouch service every 4-10 weeks (depending on the texture of hair). Ladosha uses the strength of rearranger per the manufacturer's instructions and directions per the integrity and texture of hair. Ladosha says yes, a client can go from a Curly Perm service to a relaxer, press and curl, flat iron or silk press service. As it relates to the Carefree curl, the curls will not return. If the customer has been getting the Wave Nouveau (and not relaxed to relax their hair), the hair will most certainly revert back to the Wave Nouveau curl formation safely every time. ❤️☺️ Ladosha does not recommend washing and conditioning hair daily, unless the client physically works in dirt. Black dyes typically use low developers. It should be safe. However, Upon applying the chemical, your black DYED hair may turn brown. You can follow up with a DEMI permanent black color two weeks later. But, don't use a semi permanent color, it will bleed into your fabrics when using any moisturizer on your hair. Demi permanent colors DON'T bleed.

Once the perming service is discontinued, the permed hair can be grown out. Simply have your hair cut every 3 months (give or take), you could braid the Hair and snip ends until it's all grown out. If the natural hair is as soft as the permed hair, simply discontinue use, shape ends accordingly. Or you can cut the chemically treated ends and start over. I've only had one customer grow it out because she wanted to wear braids. Throughout my career, most people snip ends every few months until all the Hair grows back. I hope that helps..☺️🤞🏾

The directions are typically with the packaging for more details. 1. Make sure hair is clean. Do use if hair has been straightened with a relaxer of any kind or if the Hair is compromised. 2. Apply rearranger per the MANUFACTURERs instructions. 3. Rinse 4. Apply rearranger 5. Rod hair 6. Let sit per the manufacturer's instructions. 7. Rinse for 5 min cool water 8. Neutralize A hair salon is best if you struggle with the kind offered for home use. 👍🏾 Most older cosmetologist and barbers can do a perm.

Contrary to what is being reported by lazy and crafty journalist pulling from the middle of ON-GOING research that reports that more research IS needed, Curly perms are safe options to change your hair. Safe means, hair will not fall out and scalp will not be compromised. Many believe because you chemically alter your hair, it's damaged because the chemicals are not safe. The chemicals are federally regulated by the FDA here in America and other regulatory bodies abroad. I hope that helps. 👍🏾

The difference is the styling product she recommends for maintenance is not a spray moisturizer. It's more like lotion. Think, Hawaiian Silky Non-Greasy formula. Also, I think she you sit under a hair dryer for processing. Other than that the services are identical. The price....it varies. Honestly they are the same.
