Your vid is wrong, it says "it more realistically cuts 10 sheets in one cut", when the instructions from CARL clearly state that you make 2 passes to cut 15. The 'cuts 15' comes from the amount that will fit under the locking paper clamp.. it will hold 15 pages under the clamp and you make 2 passes to cut. I have the higher end CARL that cuts 36 pages ... which again is 36 pages will fut under the luminous blade clamp and it's 2 full passes to cut. The CARL works fabulously and is my go to cutter. That paper clamp prevents any movement so all of those 15 pages are cut exactly the same, with the 2 passes.
I'm thinking of buying this product for my small business. I already have a guillotine (paper cutter) but I need a perforator because I'm currently using a sewing machine to do that and it takes too long. Plus, the results aren't very professional looking. Are the blades which come with the RT-200N capable of perforating *180 gsm* (grams per square meter) cover stock? It seems like it should be but I'd just like to be sure. Thanks
Great questions! I did a little asking around to see what the blade could handle. The perforating blade can perforate about 8 pages of 20lb paper(standard printer paper) at a time. So at 180gsm you should be safe to perforate at least one sheet at a time, if not two. That being said, I have not tested this at all, so I can only speak on behalf of the specs and not experience.
