Update on spill: my keyboard actually ended up breaking from the tea, but it took a few days? It was amazing: one morning it was like all the keys got remapped to do weird shit, like I'd press a key and stuff would just open and close. Felt like a bad dream where nothing works. Weirdest part: if I plug in the damaged keyboard to a computer that works, it gives it that problem, even if I switch back to a good keyboard, until restarting the computer. So I now have a troll keyboard that borks computers when you plug it in. Day 56, the trolls have left Mario Maker and are now haunting me IRL. I have relocated a large box-shaped enclosure that appears to be safe. I will continue to update on my situation as
As soon as you walked through that brick, I knew. I appreciate the fact that the double checkpoint slide meant someone had a good 5+ attempts if they were baited into the coin challenge to notice the out of place things around CP1. It wasn't just arbitrarily hidden, the level kept taking you back to the room to give you chances to figure it out.
46:05 you can see how the block right above Mario and the one to the right of it seem to have a common brick that is twice as long than in normal cases, so I guess that was a little hint
I noticed in Twice Twice land that the arrows that look like they're indicating an upward-right jump are actually each pointing to clouds, each different and in a different spot. There's a lot of great and subtle hints creators like Juju put into their levels that is greatly underappreciated.
Its majestic, i was thinking just thinking that there were too many arrows all around that section, it was so to make u oblivious of those particular arrows, but still givin u that hint
Hey Andrew/Andy! Would like to emotionally share with you! As a fan since SMW2, before the big time streams... any how.. I remember falling asleep to the last level on this video during a live stream! Once you hit checkpoint 1, I knew you were in the flag pole area. The funny thing is though, no one thinks about the castle! It's the same texture as wall blocks in SMB1. When you walked through the "wall", I was like.... what new weird glitch is this. Knowing you were by the flag pole, but completely disregarding the castle after. It's a psychological mind trick and an amazing improvement from the "Trolly Coins" level and others that took from it. What I really want to say is: Thanks for everything. You're truly an inspiration outside of Streaming. The enthusiasm you show for your studies in biology really impacted me. Instead of working at a Deli, delivering Pizza, stocking, etc. I've ended up taking a job i never would want to do. Which the job is home remodeling. Gutting the insides of rooms, replacing carpet, wood, tile, etc. Painting walls and setting up walls for houses. I've always been a gamer, fixated on games and not really seeing what I could do with myself potentially. The reality of others views of gamers being lazy kind of stuck with me at a young age I guess. (I'm 27). So i stuck with small jobs for my introverted nerd self. Now im learning a trade job. I've learned how to tear any floor apart and put in a new one. Mixing certain muds and grout, construction tools that aren't just your average hammer and different screw drivers. The ins and outs of making a home... comfortable and nice. A place that's secure and knowing you yourself did it is awesome. Just thank you.
At first, u thought the first scream was when he spilled his cup if u didn't noticed, he actually went "NOOOOO" because he probs died and then accidently hit his cup as there was a "Hitting Glass Sound" followed by another scream.
Oh, gosh, it's been at least a couple months since it was uploaded. I remember the gimmick clearly, but don't recall the level name or episode. Sorry. :/ Guess you'll just have to binge-watch a bunch of Carl's troll levels to find it! ;)
That last troll with the castle is the biggest brain idea I think I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m literally in awe. I totally get why people want more tiles/content in this game or a possible sequel but theres a certain magic that comes from people working with limited resources. If the thousands of hot garbage super expert levels were the price we had to pay for this one burst of creativity I’d take it all again in a heartbeat.
Came back to watch this gem again, didn't realize you were in the southwest. I moved to New Mexico a few years back, neat to know I'm in your backyard!
Dawn of War I am suprised how well it worked too. People have used bricks to change the look of the end castle for ages, I guess I was just lucky to be the first to realize it could be used as a troll
Carl, one thing to keep in mind when playing this crazy levels: the flag will always be 10 blocks to the left counting from the far right of the overworld. If you see the screen at 47:57, and count 10 blocks from right to left, there is the flag. You could find the flag in the first time you saw that screen. Btw, thanks for the awesome content. Cheers!
26:17 This troll was amazing, because it's so easy to avoid. Except the text makes you stay, and as soon as you realise what's happening it's too late.
When a troll causes the win rate to go down because Carl is too focused on the tea he knocked over to praise the game, and he dies to the boo over and over. 😂
We also only have like 120 days of 120°f :) and still some low nights of almost 30°f. Yet the valley doesn't even get any snow... golf ball-sized hail if we're lucky.
This is probably mentioned elsewhere, but my theory is the previous world record was attained by piping down to the second CP, getting busted by the munchers, and coming back up to the castle area as small Mario. This avoids waiting for the boo, but it also means progressing the clock in fractions of frames because going through pipes tick the counter in increments smaller than one frame.
Love the idea of doing romhacks so everyone that dont have a Wii U can try out the levels as well, very nice! Looking forward to it! Last level was amazing for being a new creator, high quality stuff!
I noticed early on in that level that those blocks looked different than the other brick blocks stacked on each other, but I chalked it up to a quirk of the game.
For the record of that second stage, I just notice you could maybe duck jump over that solid block and possibly hit that fire block before the Boo hits you? Give it try XD I laugh so much at this video, great content!
Oh. My. Fucking. God. Larl. Daddy. Too much spaghetti, you're making my stomach hurt... Lmfao. That final troll level was such delicious Gouda, I absolutely loved it. I could not *believe* for one second that was the flagpole. Jesus Christ that creator is amazing.
