Speed bumps are opportunities to reinforce the beliefs that it returns to normal. I absolutely loved that. Thats a way out of the struggle right there.

Such a lovely interview, lots of little nuggets ❤️ buddhist meditation and mindfulness has been my path to healing from chronic illness as well as insomnia 🙏 forever grateful for that particular tool in my toolbox, because the skills help you deal with all of life's inevitable challenges 🙏

Hi Daniel! Maybe at this point you remember me because I write comments here and there from time to time 😂 I just wanted to ask you: did you work with someone who had anxiety prior to insomnia? Like they were already struggling with anxiety and then they developed also sleep anxiety. Because I had anxiety my whole life and then I got stuck in sleep anxiety and it seems that it won’t go away from my mind and I’m starting to believe that my anxiety won’t let me face this fear..like this guy, I have ups and downs but the thoughts won’t go away..

Hi! Yes I’ve seen your comments before, glad you’re here 😊 And you know, many if not most of our students have + we don’t see a difference between an anxiety struggle and insomnia struggle, they’re really just two facets of one same struggle. And the path of leaving them is one also.

I still get the thoughts about sleep despite sleeping better but I don't let them bother me. It's just about accepting them and getting comfortable with them there not going to go away over night it's a traumatic experience for us all. Even the nights I sleep well I will still think about it.
