I remember Shak said in an interview that playing Magnus is more like psychological battle. Those top players just don't have the same confidence against Magnus. Even Hikaru, world number on blitz ranking, always struggles when he plays carlsen
Miguel Vicente you missed the point completely, the idea was that all players struggled against Magnus due to the lack of confidence which ultimately affects the result, Magnus doesn’t lack the confidence even if he face Ding and the results speak for themselves
I don't understand "the clocks give a 2 seconds for each move". Do you mean 2 seconds get added on for each move made. I am a beginner and I have been very confused by the clocks 🤔
@@jasoncdebussy That and it helps avoid the frantic recklessness of end games when the time gets low. It gives the players a chance to breathe a little instead of making panic moves.
Carlsen is the superior player, but he still would have been checkmated in one if he had not pulled out his master strategy at the end. There's a saying in chess: "the winner is the player who does the NEXT TO LAST mistake." ;- )
gacoss lub the rules is u have to play with the piece u touched, its still on its original square, so even if he called an arbiter nothing would happen. Its not an illegal move to touch a piece, he moved it to g4 from g2, the slip didnt make g2 go to g3, it was still on g2, which gave magnus the right to only move this pawn but in either g3 or g4.
@@KirolosElkesBishoy You don't get the joke, zighalko called an arbiter against hikaru after hikaru knocked over a piece (after making another move and hitting the clock)... Magnus obviously didn't break any rules here.
@@lifemustgoontv582 yes, not only ding liren, also, just because newbies here see magnus defeated by diren like 2 or 3 times, DOESN'T MEAN DING LIREN IS BETTER THAN MAGNUS
