I’ve missed the left lane videos, liking the new intro! I’ve never seen sled pull content so this is exciting, looking forward to some more content buddy!

New intro looks good! Man I’d try lower pressure in the rear tires so they’re not bouncy “basketballs” and keep a stiff suspension, just thinking of drag car setups where they let the rear tires flex and grab but keep the pressure to the ground with a stiff suspension

Nice to know the details of the pull setup. This has to be my favorite channel for 6.0 content, keep uo the goood work brother!

I have a set of Timbrens I built for my 94 dodge that I pull on occasion. Theyre set for only about 1/2" of travel. When I pull it sits down on them and never bounces at all. Im not sure what the difference is with yours but it looks like your rear suspension is still moving a lot. What about leaving the timbrens, but using say a ratchet strap or possibly a short modified ratchet strap on each side to go from the axle to the frame. This would allow you to either use them as a limit strap, or you could even ratchet them down and preload them so that they're pulling the axle and frame together which should basically make it ridged and get rid of your hop.

I understand the basis for higher hitch height but would think that would worsen the hopping more than the blocks and timbren. Just a thought.

Drag racing my 01 lightning we used traction bars and adjustable shocks. We would stiffen up the rear shocks and run the front lower to help the weight transfer. This is kinda different though since the sled is moving up towards the tongue changing the transfer constantly. I wonder if lifting the front like an old gasser and stiffening the rear would help?

we had the same experiences with lift blocks. we had front lift blocks and it bounced like crazy and never went to lift blocks again.

Interesting to lear about pulling setup. Could you run a sleeve in the middle of those pucks? Stop them from compressing. Probably considered cheating. Although, theyed have to be removed to be able to see the mod

Would adjustable shocks help? Springs hold the weight shocks control the springs.

I have had good results with this idea in the past-take a set of rear leaves from a parts rig. Split apart and laminate the leaves into your existing leaf packs. You can use the top spring from the parts truck by cutting off the bushing eyes so it cradles underneath the existing top leaf. Then start doubling up the leaves below that all the way down. Use a new long center bolt to hold it together, and with some new spring clamps, get them reassembled. Probably can eliminate the block that way and they'll have way less hop and axle wrap that way. Or find some factory 450 springs.

I wouldnt have given up on that setup. Maybe try a lower rear tire pressure first.
