Cruising MARDI GRAS mid-September and can't wait to eat the included foods but also looking forward to using our OBC to try out the new specially restaurants!!! Thanks for the info!!
I’m booked for November 2021 after Thanksgiving. My first stop once I get aboard will be Guys Burgers. It’s been 3 years since my last Guys Burger. Can’t wait !!! 🍔🍔
I am new to your channel, found you when we decided to go on the Mardi Gras, and wanted to know about the ship beforehand. We’ll be sailing August 21. We are loyal to Royal, but after watching your excellent videos, we are sold on the ship, thank you and may God bless you too!
Awww thanks for watching and being a part of the Travel Scouts community! Please let us know what you throught about Mardi Gras after you sail on her :)
We can't wait to get on this ship! It looks like there are too many food choices for one week. Of course we love Guy's Burger Joint. Their burgers are to-die-for!! Everything that you showed us looks delicious! We've already made a reservation for Bonsai Teppanyaki. We're going for lunch on a sea day. Seriously, I don't think we can try all of these restaurants in one week, but we're going to do our best!! Thanks so much for your videos. They are so helpful. I hope you have one about theme nights and that sort of thing.
Hi Carol :) Thanks for your comment. I am in total agreement with you! So much to chose and so little time to eat everything! lol. I am doing my best to see what theme nights they will have. I hope to find out before we sail onn July 31. But if not, I will definitely find out on the ship and do a video about it once we return. We appreciate you watching.
hello my friend WOW that Food looks AMAZINGGG. We are really looking forward to going on our Cruise next year and if we get food as good as this served I will be a very Happy Lady . Thanks for sharing Stay safe Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
Booked Mardi Gras for August 21st, 2021. We are keeping our fingers crossed and hoping that we will be able to go. I Will try all the free and Speciality restaurants this time. Can't wait.
Glad to see that Carnival has stepped up their food game!! I love cruising with Carnival but people with specific diets had a hard time eating for 7 days .
Yes, I think Carnival has really stepped up their game with making more selections for people with diet restrictions. Our last cruise we were on, I was really impressed at how well the MDR took care of some of our friends with gluten allergy. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🚢😊
Another great dining on experience on most ships that will be present on Mardi Gras is Chefs Kitchen. Chefs kitchen is an exclusive 5 star dining experience with the ships kitchen crew. It’s typically less than 20 people a night. You tour the galley and eat dinner in a nice room in the galley. They also have different stations in the galley where they explain their cooking process of different items and give you a sample. I highly recommend it. I’ve done it on Carnival Glory and Horizon. I paid $80/person. Definitely worth it.
Your time dining has been around for a bit. You can request the same wait staff for each night, might have to wait though. We love Seaday brunch, the Steakhouse, JiJi's, and Cucina del Capitano. Looking forward to Big Chicken, Teppanyaki and Emeril's. Excited for Mardi Gras
This is why we always cruise with Carnival. Cruise booked for September, out of Canaveral, but not sure what's happening now, with the latest CDC restrictions. Can't wait to get into the 555 Steakhouse, love my meat. Don't we all 😀 i hear you say .
I enjoy going to the Seaday Brunch with my family and looking forward to Rudy's Seagrille, Street Eats and of course Guy's Burgers. I will also try Big Chicken and the Seafood Shack.
@@TheTravelScouts I don't really have a favorite dish at the brunch, I just order based on my mood. I do enjoy going because it's one of the meals when my whole family will dine together. However, I love, love dinner in the main dining room on lobster night! When we have gone during Christmas, and had two lobster nights. I love Guy's burgers and I try to skip the fries. I usually can only eat half my burger so I said next time I'm going to forego the bread as well and just have the burger and toppings. I enjoy the taco salad at Blue Iguana and I always intend to try some different toppings throughout the week, but there are so many options, I don't make it back there. I usually only get a spoonful of whatever I choose from the buffet to make sure I like it and am not being too wasteful, but by the time I get done sampling, I'm full again. I have to pace myself because it seems like after a couple days, my stomach never completely empties and I start to feel like I'm eating just to be eating...LOL!
I am booked to cruise on her Sept 4th and can't wait. Kelly are you still doing the inaugural cruise on the Mardi Gras? If so I look forward to seeing you video on it. I have been trying to find any crew that would take pictures of the FAC cabin that we have booked so i can memorize the layout.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL time! Unfortunatley, when our July 3rd Mardi Gras was cancelled, we were not able to reschedule until Nov. I keep hoping something will open up sooner. Maybe something will open next week when final payments are due 😉
Hey Kellie, We finally booked a Carnival cruise for October 2022. We would still like to get onto the Mardi Gras in the Fall of this year??? The food venues look good. Looking forward to Shaq's Chicken.🐸
@@TheTravelScouts It's a cruise on the Horizon sailing from Miami on 10/15/22. Still keeping an eye on your Group cruise if it gets pushed to the Fall this year🤔

I am booked for March 2022, will Guys have the Pig and Anchor included, on the carnival site it says coming soon, I know they have the brew house and it serves different food choices but I’m really hoping they will include the Pug and Anchor bc the food was so delicious, the Mac n cheese and bbq chicken was amazing at the Pig and Anchor..
Hi Joann! Yeah, we complete full episode food reviews of the vast majority of the dining options while on-board. Those episodes will be released soon. 😊 Thanks for watching! ~ Jason
@@TheTravelScouts Sadly, unless the lawsuit and injunction against the CDC, filed by Florida and other states which is set in federal court tomorrow, prevails... I think our cruises will be cancelled yet again... Good luck to us both!
Some reservations can be made once you book. You do that by logging on to the Carnival website and click "manage my booking". Other reservations will have to be made once you get on the ship.
Gonna watch all the videos, today we booked for mid Feb 2022. CAN you find out when captain dinner with lobster is? It helps to avoid reserving specialty dinners on that evening? Found your channel last evening and helped book a room based on your tips to where to avoid.
Oh yay! So glad the video was helpful :) We will be on the July 31st sailing so make sure you are subscribed with bell notification on because we will be publishing a TON of Mardi Gras vids!
Hello! I am guessing Carnival hasn't opened up that option to book yet. I think it will be available- my guess is they are trying to finalize how they are going to do dining with covid policies. OR the other option is that it's already completely booked. Also, thanks for the comment. I realize that I didn't cover the Chef's Table in this video! lol
@@TheTravelScouts Thanks for your reply. 2days after I submitted my question, The option of The Chef's Table became available finally! I aleady booked it! :)
I saw it as as option today. Didnt book yet because I wanted to know when the captain dinner with lobster in main dining occurs. Can anyone answer we are Cozumel plus 7 day.
Is there a list of the restaurants that are included? More to the point of the paid restaurants that are free for lunch. Also I read somewhere that during this inaugural season that some of these are free at dinner too??? Lots of misinformation still.
Free at dinner- Chibang, Cucina del Capitano, Guys Pig and Anchor. Restraunts that cost extra- Rudi's Seafood Grill, Bonsai Sushi, 555 Steakhouse, Chef's Table, Bonsai Teppanyaki, Emeril's. We will have a new dining guide coming out soon now that we have sailed on her with updated info :)
There are some dining options that have an a la carte type menu so you pay for what you order (like Bonsai Sushi or Seafood Shack) and others you just pay a flat rate for meal and you usually get appetizer, entree, and dessert. (Like Rudi's Seagrill or Bonsai Teppanyaki)
@@TheTravelScouts THANK YOU. I'VE EATEN AT SEAFOOD SHACK. I'VE JUST NEVER DONE SPECIALTY DINING AT STEAK HOUSE, ETC. NEVER WAS INTERESTED UNTIL YOU MENTIONED HALBACHI GRILL, GAME CHANGER ❤❤. THANK YOU AGAIN, HAPPY CRUISING ⚓⚓🛳🛳
