So we seem to be going backwards, ha ha. Back to the wedding scene (when Carol and Mike sounded like Kennedys with their pronunciations sometimes). At this rate, on this channel it's going to take several years to get to clips featuring Marcia starting high school (an episode which also included Peter's little volcano science project that amazingly spewed forth about 40 gallons of goop into the air and all over Marcia and her Booster Club friends) or Bobby pouring the entire box of laundry detergent into the washing machine.

Give the show credit the kids look Florence looks amazing. Mike Brady the look holds up. This was in the fall of 69. I believe I was only a year old. I used to watch the show in syndication 1979 1980s a four-year-old I’d come home put the TV on and watched an hour every single evening before homework. Just a great show. Just a great show and it’s amazing when you look at Marsha and Greg, how tiny they were her an episode one the pilot and then year two and 1970 they were kinda preteen and by the end of the show and 74 they are fully grown 18 year-old it’s amazing the transition They literally spent there most powerful years growing up on this show
I don't understand. Why wasn't Fluffy kept inside the house for the outdoor wedding? Why on earth did Mike allow the boys take Tiger to the wedding? How did Tiger lower down the car window? So many questions...
It looks like Tiger's paw activated the window. (My car's windows won't do that unless the key is in the ignition.) I'm surprised a car had a feature like that in the late 1960s.
Um, I actually noticed this when I was a kid and asked my dad and he said wow, you’re right! Tiger gets out of the car by “pressing” the automatic car window which 1.) wasn’t common yet and 2.) the crank window handle is right there in the shot so it’s a cheat! We saw this dozens of times in reruns so it was easy to confirm
So you’re telling me that in only a few years, Carol lost her first husband, mourned him, went back on the market, met Mike, courted him, accepted a ring of engagement, met his kids, and helped Mike plan their dream house? That lovely lady moves fast!
I heard that things got VERY ugly with Fluffy's agent when Fluffy was dropped from the cast after this pilot episode. A massive lawsuit that had to be settled out of court. 😝
And it wasn't until a few decades later that the producers of the 90s show "The Bradys" made such an unresearched goof and changed Mike's middle name to "Thomas" when the series had been around for so many years after the original run! Sheesh!

Even if the car did have power windows, you could only operate them if the engine is running. So, if Tiger as able to lower the power window, it would seem as if Mike left the engine running. Even today, most cars do have power windows, and they can only be operated if the engine is running.
No actually today there is a delay. You can open or close the windows within a minute of turning off the car and taking out the key. Course some cars use a button now. But remember the kids put the dog in the car and the top up. I don’t know why the house would not be the place for the dog. They had to leave the window open some or the dog would be dead.
I don't blame Mike for being angry at the boys. After all, it was their idea to bring Tiger along. That dog was way out of control, Mike just had to put his foot down.
He called her Carol and people probably remember that was $1 million question on who wants to be a millionaire what was her maiden name and I knew it it was Carol Martin. She was born Carol Tyler and I knew the answer I would’ve won but I wasn’t on that show lol

According to GM, power windows in cars have been around since the 40s -- on select models. They were optional on most models by the 60s, and standard on all makes by 2008. Yes, I had to look that up 🙃

I think it would make more sense to call the dog Fluffy and the cat Tiger because the dog is more fluffy than the cat and tigers are wild cats, not as friendly though.
It was very progressive in 1969 to have both spouses include the word "obey" in their vows. For eons it was the woman who had to agree to obey her husband until feminists finally put their foot down and insisted on its removal.
I cannot remember if it happened in the TV show Little House On The Prairie but I do know in the book Laura told Almonzo to ask Reverend Brown to leave “obey” out of the vows.
@@msr1116 I think if Carol Brady had lived in that era, her and her daughters would be “nice”. 🤣 She would have told Marsha to stay away from that Laura girl who wouldn’t wear her sunbonnet all the time, liked to play with the boys during recess and lunch instead of sitting in the school room doing needlework, stomped down hay in the wagon like a male farmer, didn’t wear a corset at night, might as well not bothered with a hoop skirt because she adjusted the bustle part to the smallest setting, and the horror, helped a man tame wild horses.
