When the rich are capable of convincing the masses that it's not them, but the poor, the marginalised and the desperate that are the problem you know they've succeeded in constructing an alternate reality. In the past when people felt financial pressure they used to hound the rich. Now they blame the poor.

We need fewer multi millionaire public school boys and girls who are also part time MPs.

Even in the UK the government and opposition are influenced by big companies and rich individuals who make donations to the parties or MP's

The founder of that law firm, Peter Carter-Ruck, asked Private Eye to stop spelling his second surname with an 'F'. They responded by also spelling his first surname with an 'F'.

Corruption in politics as been clear and evident for decades, the public just continue to take it, its getting close to boiling point.

Money opens doors wether you are rich or a big multi nationals , our politicians are easily bought ,they like to call it lobbying , but some are energy deals ,well that's effected us all .

Yes. This man is someone you must keep and eye on. Shining lights in some very dark places. The people that really make the world turn. When you find out that your politicians do not set the agenda. That these people are not the ones in power. Very fascinating if you want to take your blinkers off and see the truth and horrors about our world

I’m going to buy the book. I am convinced there are overlords that run things above the level of the governments we are allowed to know and see.

Like AIPAC in the USA the Israeli lobby in the UK is lobbying exactly the same way and including donations.

Carol, what about the money going into private industries which politicians have vested interests. A security company comes to mind for starters.

At all levels justice is owned by the rich and big organisations who can afford top lawyers and the costs prohibit ordinary people from taking action against them. The post office scandal is an example of what happens to little people when they challenge a big organisation

The IEA, Taxpayer's Alliance, Save Our Statues group, and Restore Trust (the 'anti-woke' NT lobby group) all have the exact same address next door to Tory Party HQ on Tufton St.

Parties should never accept cash from any business, group, think tank or person. All parties should have an equal amount for campaigning supplied by taxes and MP'S should never have any other employment while they represent.

It absolutely is true you can buy the truth. A headmistress in the U.K. sued a parent for libel in the not too distant past after said parent took to write various comments about them online under a pseudonym and even hid their identity via a VPN. The argument from the parent was that said headteacher was unfit for the job, shouted and humiliated children etc.. This very wealthy head won their case and the parent had to payout a substantial sum. Sadly, the truth is that various allegations made were true. Their witnesses were nothing but liars and as someone who actually witnessed some of the “alleged” behaviour from said headteacher, I was shocked and somewhat appalled by this. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware of this case until I left said school and wasn’t able to support the defendant. Just goes to show that enough money will bring forth legal judgements which are far removed by reality.

The rich and powerful will always win because they set the rules. It's been that way for centuries. Even in those countries where's there's been revolution, the revolutionaries become the rich and powerful whilst the poor remain poor

I honestly think the poor are partly responsible for believing the messages the rich put out instead of being educated on key issues. If there was more awareness on the truth of issues like immigration, Brexit and inflation, the political landscape would be very different.

Another strand to the "Londongrad" story. Plenty of lawyers, accountants & politicians helpful to those from abroad with money & no questions asked.

We need to ban poltical donations and 2nd jobs, and forign donations, or at the very least a cap of like £500 per person registered to vote. No more 500k tory dinners, no one is paying 500k for nothing..

The quickest way to end public school employment dominance. Public & private employers should be required to only offer menial jobs to privately educated. Only zero-hour contracts. Investment should be scrutinised. Any question of dark money a full enquiry. If investments are found questionable then the investment is confiscated and prison.

So why does an extraordinarily wealthy businessman pay lots of money into a political party?, set up a think tank?, buy a newspaper? And hire extremely expensive lawyers when a free lance journalist asks questions? It’s all for the same reason. They don’t just want to control the truth. They also want to control policy, regulations, laws, etc. They are ensuring the future favours them.
