Carouselambra / Live from Ye Olde Absynthe House... 

There is a reason this song is so seldom covered - it's far too complex for most all bands. Here we have musicians - and engineer(s) - who can indeed pull off this musical masterpiece. This is more than a cover. It is a tribute, an homage to the greatest band ever.

This is the best version of this song I've ever heard by someone who isn't Led Zeppelin.

I had the album on 8 track in December 1979 after my older brother age 22 was killed in a car accident after midnight November 30 coming back from a Kansas concert in Shreveport Louisiana. Look up their concert schedule. I had just started high school. He had been playing this and after he died I listened to it on repeat at night while I slept. I was listening when Bonham died and found out later and he was already my favorite magical drummer. Of course I became a drummer, singer, and eventually learned guitar too.

52 years a Zeppelin fan and this just utterly blows me away. Lord Have Mercy. 💗

Imagine being in a bar when they get up and perform this. I would have loved to have seen Zepp perform this live, sadly this was never to be. But what a substitute. Great performance of a song that is not that easy to take on. Well done to all concerned.

I had this album on 8 track when I was 15. Carouselambra took up an entire 'side'. I used to go out to my Dad's car at night because he had a great sounding stereo, and I'd play this track over and over back to back One of the most influential songs of my youth. Thanks to you all for making the commitment necessary to do this tune.

This is the single best music video I have ever seen. First off, no one takes on a Carouselambra cover because no one has the stones to attempt something so difficult. Susan pulls off all the passion of Plant, while putting her own soulful, clean, powerful touch on the vocals. True to the original, but uniquely special in her own way. Just beautiful. The musicianship of Len's lead guitar, Alexa's keyboards, Rick and Tom's bass and drums are spot on Zep. Even Zep couldn't have reproduced this level of quality live on their best day. Add to the music the very accurate recreation of the ITTOD album cover as a setting - just theatrically and professionally done. MTV never produced anything of this quality in their years of running videos, and, yes, I'm including Michael Jackson. I'm completely blown away and can't stop watching this. WELL DONE AND CONGRATS.

This is as epic a cover of such an epic song that you could possibly ask for. The album cover come to life, and the pic of Robert and John-Paul at the end. Just magic. Perfect.

Those who know me well have been subjected to this song at incredible volume. listening to me point out all the nuances of what should have been their next epic. I love this song and great job. When I saw Page and Plant in 1995, they added parts of this song when they did IN THE EVENING. I liked the photo of John Paul Jones being shown in this video since I believe he had big part writing this song.

This is just lovely, Carouselambra has always been a personal favorite, and seeing/hearing this version hit me in much the same way the Rainbow hit Noah or the butterfly hit Pandora.
