Carpe diem = seize the day!...and I sure did! A beautiful sunny afternoons fishing started slowly, but soon got going as we caught in total 4 Common Carp between 6lbs and 10lbs. Not a bad afternoon all in all.
'Mornin Paul & Pop; what an enjoyable day that must have been. Great catch's & a'lil brew on the river bank. Doesn't get any better. Thanks 4 sharing the outing, Friend Happy Trails From The Maritimes In Canada ATB Terry " GOD BLESS "
Looked like a perfect day to me! ... A stove that runs on unleaded petrol?!! That looked pretty neat. I had never before seen one of those. Great stuff. Peace, Shane
Nice trip. We used to catch them and put them back or give them away, we did not eat them. Are you eating them and if so,how do you cook them? We fished at a reservoir and they were huge. Make you run the bank to get them in. I enjoy your vids, very nice, thanks.
Paul DiDonato Cheers Paul! No, no eating of carp. pleasure catch and release fishing only. They give me the enjoyment and sport of catching them, so the least I can do is thank them by putting them straight back as quickly as possible to recover and live to do battle another day. MTFBWY!
nice catch looked like good eating too. fishing season start the last Sat in April here in northern north CA USA. I just got my free Sport Fishing Lic & going to try for some rainbow trout in the Northern part of the Sacramento River near the headwaters where She Starts. I have not fished since I was 14-15 living in NYC. we used to surf cast off the beach in Rockaway Queens in the late 1960's. Used to ride my bike with my rod a couple of plastic trash bags, to Rockaway which was 15-20 miles away mostly a flat ride used to get Puffer fish (Not the poison kind) my Mom used to call them the Chicken of the Sea because you got a lot of white fish meat off of it with no bones. i get 7-8 7" fish clean them on the beach one cut to the back of the head to snap the spine and just grab the flesh and the shin came off clean. I miss those days.
Kristyanna Virgona Catch and release pleasure fishing only here Kristyana. Great sport so release them to fight anther day. Sounds like great times you had, im not against hunting for fish to eat where appropriate, but my needs and circumstances do not dictate that I have to hunt for my food, so I don't. Cheers and all the best!
