I do not claim to be an expert at anything other than enjoying myself in the great outdoors! Walking & stalking, bushcraft & outdoors living, foraging & cooking, looking & seeing...
I live in the mountainous / forested area of our region. Those 5 survival tools are my essentials. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and processing each one, it confirms my understanding. I strongly agree with you on the hatchet capability, blessings from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Great book and Great review. Unfortunately, one would only be able to do what he did if they were a single childless man. Although the freedom would be soothing to the mind, body and soul, I wouldn’t trade my family for it. I too was born in 1975.
Old video, when this cook kit was expensive. Yes, it is not really cheap. But most item prices went up and Bushcraft has a lot of gear junkies this days.
7:00: the book is "let down a bit" by its inclusion of chapters discussing the use of two animals not native to the UK. Seriously? 🙄 The book was written by a Canadian, for Canadians and those living in other boreal forests / taiga. It's right there in Mors' preface: "The purpose of Northern Bushcraft (sic, the original title) is to provide practical information on the more important crafts used in every day bush living in the Northern Forests." Brits are certainly welcome to read the book .. but should not whinge because it is not tailored to their specific environment.
I have one (maybe a similar model) and yes, it works. To be fair I would have tried magic beans at this point, and was immensely skeptical it would do anything at all. Pleasantly surprised it does actually work for me. Doesn't cure it completely, but does reduce symptoms down several notches. My model is 650nm, and is a 4 minute cycle. I use it for 8-12 minutes before bed, and a few times a day if I remember. Works pretty much straight away but the effect increases the more you use it. It sounds absolutely ridiculous..but looks even worse! I have seen quite a bit on red-light therapy recently on youtube, people purport that it helps with other ailments. I wouldn't be surprised if it did, but I haven't the faintest idea how or why.
Hey buddy, I have just bought one of these, a few years later very sorry. My allergies have been so bad they have given me asthma for the first time in my life! I was never an asthmatic before. Just when I have hay-fever. How have you found this device over the years? Has it kept helping you?
@@SmokingKills1993 it did help to a degree but I found some other things, drinking loads of orange juice because it's anti inflammatory helped with my asthmatic symptoms, but I've had to start immunotherapy because it's quite a severe reaction. Do you have that option?
I have just bought this machine. Is it possible to take off the plastic covers of the two tubes ? Isn't it more efficient without these plastic covers ? Thank you
Nothing wrong with spending a little extra for quality equipment. If you look after it and get plenty of use out of it, then it’s money very well spent.
Where did u get it I've got hay fever/Rhinitis I'm certain it's caused by the weather here in Missouri plus I smoke cannabis which has pollen so I want to know will this help get rid of my symptoms? I get post nasal drip and it's really frustrating
Perfect why keep everything in a backpack that could be lost in a bad situation, redundancy is key and all the better if its stored in pockets, i seen a SAS smock with added pockets done by a tailor, some hidden, which had similar contents to your vest.
My thinking is grab and go means something extra other than what your already carrying as edc which for me is a knife and small flashlight the grab and go should be different great choices
Got one from amazon £5.00 arrived today and just used it for 5mins . And I cannot believe its cleared my sinus i can smell better after one use. I was using sudeafed spray for 3 days before as well .
This was an interesting vid and I’ve watched it several times. Good analysis. My problem is trying to envision a realistic scenario where you’d have the 5 things but nothing else. More likely that you’d have a backpack or nothing except the stuff on your immediate person. For example, you had to make a run for it without carrying a lot of stuff. Than what?
