I'm only an enthusiast (taking care of my own car mostly) and I like that you show products that may be old to you but I of course have never heard of them. Thank you for your unbiased honest opinions. The amount of time you sacrifice for these videos continues to amaze me
CarPro PERL is my first choice for interior vinyl, plastic and leather. This is a really versatile product and I can choose the Finish I want (matte, eggshell, semi-gloss) just by changing the dilution. It leaves no odor and adds deep, rich color to dark colored interiors.
Brian & Angel wax. Like Adam West as Batman. He pulls out his convertible top cleaner from the Angel wax utility belt. Their line of products never ceases to amaze me
I'd like to see these products used on a daily driver that's a few years old to see what it can do with 'weathered' surfaces like most of us experience in the real world. I use CarPro products exclusively after the detailer who coated my car recommended it to maintain. Awesome stuff.
Brain. A few months ago you recommended (Attention to Detail ) Chelsea for a local detailer. Just wanted to let you know she did an absolutely perfect detail. I was amazed at how clean the car came out. Fixing up a couple very used vehicles for the kids and it looks new again. 👍👍
Nice !! Will have to look at this for my fender mud flaps and tonneau cover of the truck and the front air dam. Been using this PPC Formula 2 Cleaner Protectant
A duragloss product made an appearance!!! Wonder if you’ve used any of their other products...I’m a big fan of their sealants, rinseless wash and spray wax :)
The 396 was a one year only option on 1965 Stingrays. It was not available on 1964 models. If this is a 1964, then it's had an engine transplant. The 327 small block was the only engine on 64's.
Tried out a sample of PERL. Thought it was a very good product, but necessarily better than the Optimum dressing I typically use. Once I run out, may give PERL another shot. BTW, if folks are looking for a portable light that shows imperfections on paint, take a look at the 100 lumen Milwaukee flashlight. It's a daylight spectrum. $20 at Home Depot.
About the light, I use it in conjunction with the Astro light, and a LED flashlight with somewhat cold spectrum. My aging eyes need all the help they can get. The Milwaukee has a unique feature; the rear of the light is coated in a rubber-like material as to make it less painless to hold in your teeth. Neat. Even if you prefer to use something else for detailing, the Milwaukee is fairly inexpensive, very nicely built, and offers a spectrum that displays objects in a natural light. Hard to complain for $20.
Would love to see you do a convertible top cleaner and seal... Ive tried the populars one's but they just dont cut it.. (rag top and 303 ) on my cashmere canvas top. Was thinking of trying Nanolex Conver top sealant.. But not sure how good it is.
@@andrewhowe5893 Nice! I applied T1 to my front tyres at the weekend as i did a wheels off C5 alloy coating too. I feel like T1 looks a little blotchy, but maybe i should've done 2-3 degreaser/APC passes on the tyre wall instead of just the 1..
Would you consider a dedicated leather ceramic coating on used leather, like new, one or two year old leather or just on new cars? Nice product, excellent video.
Edward Robbins Brian can confirm but I can tell you that I clean my interior 2 times last year (spring and automn) and was wonderful. For the exterior...depend on how many times you wash your car 😉
I use PERL on tires, it's great. I tried straight from the bottle and diluted 1:1. I prefer straight from bottle. Less runny, easier to apply. I apply and a few minutes later wipe off the excess so it's not to shiny. I never tried it inside because it smells bad and I'm afraid it will make it too shiny. Based on dilution ratios you used, I find the results too shiny, especially for seats. I guess you could add more water to tone it down but I already have other products I like for interior and never had the need to try PERL for that.
Hey Brian, I got a tent trailer with vinyl on it, do you thing I can you Perl on it ? Didn’t thing about it last year but now that you do it on that convertable top...also got that same kind of plastic windows, I will consider your suggested product.
And don't go on to a UK webshop. You will cry at how much lower the prices are there. Where I live it's almost double the prices. Waxes is about the same. But the cleaners and sprays is dirt cheap there. Will say though that all of the Angelwax products I have used so far has been top notch. The only ones that have disappointed is h2go and Clarity as a washer fluid. H2go can be a defect from the bottle though. Since the first use was great but short longevity as expected from a high water repellent product that moves water at very low speed. Save the cap and rinse out the sprayer and it can last you. QED and Enigma QED is awesome.
Do you wash the lake country microfibre pads in a washing machine like they say you can ? Also how many pads on average would you use to get round an average sized coupe, if you were using 3 and 5 inch pads ? Just for a one stage
Would you manage to try meguiar's m688 deep-crystal ultra paint coating for us? .I would like to see this product in action, i like meguiar's m188 deep-crystal paint coating in ultra resistant polymeric formula, m688 is the same formula but hybrid with added Ceramic
Another great video. Perl is nice, no doubt, but D170 Hyper Dressing performs exactly the same, can self level far better, is more forgiving on more surfaces and surfaces that may not have been correctly prepped, and is less than half the cost. If only Perl existed, I would use it as my main trim, but Hyper Dressing makes Perl a completely non-value-added product.
Great video..however your are wrong. It's a 65 big block Corvette and not a '64 as you state in your video. But nice looking car (actually the big block 65 is a much nicer car than any '64 Corvette)
I was just curious when I wash my micro fiber I do wash seprate but I use my home washing machine family does use fabric softner do I have to worry about it getting on micro fiber some times I'll run warm water vinger in machine
I think this is the first video I would disagree with you, specifically about the use of this product on leather. American hide leather, especially in a car over 50 years old, needs a different treatment than you would use on rubber and vinyl. I would also address the leather cracking at wear points. And as an aside, I would have the convertible top refitted - it looks awful at the rear corners.
Pearl at that ratio on vinyl will always look shiny and kind greasy touch. I have experienced it on my oldschool bmw, and have to go lower on the dilution ratio. 1:5 and often comeback with a clean microfiber to buff off the shine. This is especially needed on the interior, on the dashboard or seat.
