CARRYING A GUN FOR A WEEK | What I carried and how! 

I want to thank you Honey! You are the reason I started carrying daily. I never even held a gun untill early Spring of 2020, & I've been carrying daily since December 2020. I have a membership at my local range, & train 3-5 times a week. I use my Dene Adams Corset or Can Can band exclusively. I just can't deal with Kydex Holsters, even though I own Ultimate Holsters for both my Glock 43X and my Sig P365XL (which is my daily carry). I never imagined that at age 59 (60 in May) I would live this lifestyle and enjoy it so much! Thank you for starting me on this journey of taking charge of my personal protection (& the protection of those I love). You continue to inspire women with your videos (and now online training,) and it's such an incredibly beneficial service to provide in these increasingly dangerous & uncertain times we live in. As a husband, and a father to a 21 year old daughter, I was interested in your perspective on these such things, so I subscribed some time ago. I don't watch your videos real often, but have watched several, and have mentioned your channel to my daughter. I just sent my daughter a link to this particlar video. Sometimes she carries. I am encouraging her to carry all the time, and your input indirectly encourages her to do this. BTW, the three of us have watched The Chosen together, and just waiting for the next season. i really enjoyed this video bc i do struggle with outfits and CC. im petite and my shield prints easily. hard to find NON crop tops these days. i live in AZ so we have very short sweater weather. im usually the only person carrying in my friends and family circle. most of my friends say they feel safe when im around.

You know there's only a couple ways guys carry & most of the time it's on a belt somewhere. As I've been watching your channel for a while now I've noticed more & more the difficulties women have with carrying firearms. I had a border collie. I walked her 2 miles AM and PM when she wS a pup. As she grew up we transitioned to 3 miles a day plus separate Frisbee or chucking time either AM or PM depending on when the walk would happen that day. Sometimes a 4 mile walk depending on how much time I had or energy I had, lol

My dog, Delta, is half German shorthair pointer and half English cocker spaniel, and her energy is off the charts! But I am a farmer so she gets to stay outside and run all day long. Love this vlog style video stav!

It's nice to see a different view than some channels that judge you for wanting to wear cute, fashionable clothing, and judge you for wearing belly bands and corset holders...so nice to have someone educate us about those and who actually used them. Great videos, and I always look forward to the next one. I have several saved to favorites to refer back to. ❤️

I have had my firearm and CCW license for a little over a year. But I don’t carry it with me. I want to but don’t feel confident enough in myself yet. I am a plus size woman and feel that I have enough bulges as it is! I would love to see you do a video of larger woman and how they carry. It amazes me that as small as you are it is difficult to see that you have all that gear under there! I enjoy your channel and have learned a lot fro both you and Mack. And Milo is adorable! 🐾🐾

I love this channel. I think Stav does a wonderful job with it. That said, after reading through many comments here, I have to add one thing. Too often, people who carry are unnecessarily worried about concealing. (Makes sense if you live in a state that penalizes you for exercising your 2A, but hey, I understand. We can't all live in states who truly appreciate it.) I have watched numerous videos regarding concealing, and what I have found (through reading tons of comments) is that it's mostly in your head. One, most people these days are oblivious to their surroundings. Two, they don't really care or will politely let you know you're printing to help you out. Three, they're a fellow carrier and you'll swap gun info, lol. Four, if law enforcement ends up getting involved (very low percentage), they'll pretty much end up thanking you for carrying. Bottom line, don't sweat it. It's mostly in your head. If anything, put more effort into how you'll respond. I've read some really great responses (all witty and not confrontational at all. One guy, a race car driver who was getting fitted for a race suit, overheard a man behind him say to his young daughter that she better behave or that man will shoot her (like, omg!). The driver turned around and got face level with the little girl and said, in a fatherly way, that he's carrying a weapon BECAUSE he loves her and is doing so to protect her, and that if her father TRULY loves her the way he does he would carry as well. (Shaabam!) (I get wanting to look cute, though!)

Love seeing all these options. Would love to see more OOW options especially with a belt, maybe what I’m looking for is more clothing options with belts? Always interesting to see others solutions to EDC dilemmas. I am like many people in that I have a whole dresser drawer full of all kinds of holsters. Not being a very large person, 5’9”about 175#, getting good concealment can be challenging sometimes. Ironically, my carry guns are M&P Shield and Ruger LCP Max. Also carry a Sig 365. Very much enjoy your videos and you and Mac provide good info and entertainment. Keep doing what you do. Thanks

Thanks for all the great info you and Mac provide here! I’m in the academy but am going a little slow. I live in Los Angeles County so no permit to carry in this county but can in the county my son lives in. May move when I retire at the end of this year!

First, I stayed to the end. I just found your channel yesterday, and I really like it. I've been carrying for over 20 years (30?), and my favorite way to carry, out of necessity, is an ankle rig times 2. Since an ankle gun can print, having one on each ankle reduces how large one ankle is over the other. I've found the most comfortable ankle holster for me is one made by Uncle Mike's. They make very cheap, frankly horrible holsters, but this one is pretty stable, and very secure. Yes, because of the type of cloth, they wear out quicker than leather alternatives. So, I have to plan to change them about every 2 years, give or take 5 or 6 months, depending on how active I've been. I'm closer to 70 than 65 now, so am not as active as I used to be. Joint deterioration does that to you. That and the 26 surgeries I've had to date (more on the way). When I was still a football and basketball official, the holsters could wear out in less than 18 months. But then, I rode bicycles and motorcycles a lot more, plus hunting and fishing, which means a lot of walking or riding a 4-wheeler. One thing I'd like to thank you for, is including Mac in the videos. His perspective adds a lot. One of the most important things I'm thankful for is that I live in a 2A friendly state that has allowed concealed carry for a long time, and now has Constitutional Carry as well.

Hey Stav!!! Love seeing Mila in the vids with you and Mac!!! Yes...I also have 7 high energy dogs! All rescues...wouldn't trade them for the world!! Luckily I have some acreage and they run and rip from sun up till sun down - weather permitting of course!! Even when we have a foot or two of snow, they run and chase each other and look like deer bounding through the yard!!! Always appreciate seeing your different carry applications!! I’ve learned more about the Raw diet than anything with this video. Lol 😂 I’ve had dogs my entire life and never knew about this. I guess it was how I was raised and just always did the same practice with any dog I’ve had. Ya learn something new daily. Thanks 🙏

Someone in a carry group recently got a p mag and it got stuck in her shield and she had to take it to a gunsmith to have it removed. I need to get into the raw diet for my cats. They're outside so they do get to hunt but I know that isn't always enough for them. I have a coat that buttons up and I have to leave the bottom button undone to access my shield otherwise it's too tight when I try to pull it up and out of the way. I got the Can Can elite hip hugger and garter holsters and love them. I wear mine more centered because my hip bones stick out and make concealing the grip more of a pain. I'm actually wearing my garter holster right now. I also got one of the older Dene Adams corset holsters secondhand from facebook, but that's my cold weather holster and it needs some modifying before I use it more often. Same goes for another belly band from TWAW that needs more velcro. I love your videos. You got me into carrying and I got the shield and love it, though I am thinking about getting a shield 2 for home and plus for carry since they both hold more. In my hip hugger I keep the extra mag in the left side pocket right next to the velcro pocket. I could see a mag falling out of the left hand draw pocket because the bottom is open for the muzzle to stick out of if need be. I keep all of my EDC in my band because I don't always have pockets. I would love a neomag for my corset, as well as a kydex shell, because the pockets are so deep and things get lost without a clip. About this point I'm really considering another shield because when I carry with my garter I keep my pom and knife on the outside of the extra mag pocket so they don't dig into my leg. I've tried carrying a mag there and it just hurts. I wouldn't need an extra 8 round mag plus the 7 flush fit if I could carry something that's almost that amount to begin with.

My everyday carry is an M&P shield plus 9. I also have a viridian green laser on it. I found for me the most awesome comfortable way to carry is a shoulder holster for every day It's just amazing. I have a dozen holsters and no matter what after carrying them all day long find them irritating. But I found the shoulder holster even after 10 hours it just becomes so natural you don't even feel that it's there. Good video.

A caution for anyone feeding bone to their dogs... Raw fowl is OK because the bones are soft and that's what they getvin the wild. Cooked chicken bones are a NONO, as well as pork bones because they will splinter! Beef bones will crunch up and are OK raw or cooked. Just beware when giving steak bones because they may have a sharp point. I'm about to go take my Mila for a walk! 😀 She gets raw food, as well. Big difference. You need to stick an air tag on her Frisbee... 😉

Thank you for your videos, stumbled on your channel looking for “ women and conceal carry holsters” understanding what a woman goes through in finding the right holster, isn’t really out there? I am in my sixties and received my first CCW at 18 and of course my EDC has changed through the years. Thank you again for the information and options out there for women. I now have made several holster choices and have some on the way as well as being on a waiting list for a few ( which tells me more women are choosing to carry) Thank you for your openness about God and Guns, you are such an inspiration! Thank your husband for his service too…..Since finding your channel I subscribed and look forward to every video you post!

I love this video, gives me some good ideas. My cousin lived in Worcester for several decades. I’m very thankful your husband was included in this. I’m trying to find a better set up during summer. I drive around 400 to 500 miles a day wearing a tucked in polo. I end up using my 6+1 pocket 380 because my 13+1 9mm Sig with the tuckable kydex appendix just hurts too much ..

I started watching your videos about a year ago and since then I’ve been carrying. I’ve been able to teach four ladies from my church about guns and took them to the range on difference occasions. I’d commend it to all the southpaws out there!!!

When he said the pro mag were bad, I definitely agree. I have one in my 1911 and I hate it. I bought the 1911 with the pro mag in it thinking that it was the original mag.

2:46 That leg strap will also make it way more difficult to take your purse from you in a snatch and run scenario. Like in a parking lot of a store. That's my main objection to purse-carry, but that seems like a very good choice, in general. What a nice couple! Very impressive. My oldest son is a detective and everyone carries in the family.

Man I had no idea you could feed dogs raw chicken on the bone! I think I had always heard about bones splintering but it makes sense that it only happens when it's cooked.

My ex-wife and I had 2 border collies… the HIGH-energy dog struggle is REAL!! We trained them to catch a tennis ball rolling off the roof. It was hours of entertainment… Also an FYI for dog owners- my mom pressure cooks chicken bones for 2-3 hours for her dogs. They turn into a semi-soft treat (like a shortbread cookie texture, and they won’t splinter) that dogs love, and are very nutritious! Love this video and all your content too btw!

Lots of good info as always! I love the Can Can belly band and garter holsters. Do you ever feel the need for a trigger guard in those? I made one that’s the shape of the pocket out of a thin cardboard box. My dogs jump up on me too and I feel better having a little extra trigger protection.

Do a video on what you do for home carry/defense (staging guns around the house, use of safes, rapid access or otherwise, etc)

With modern TVs you can send any image on your phone to your tv. TV and phone just have to be connected to the same WIFI network. Is called "Smartview" on Android phones. Not sure on Iphones. I use that feature all the time.
