My OCD drives me crazy! Surgery-micro fracture, multiple PRP, and growth factor treatments. Pain is extreme from b-ball and running. Do you think intraosseus bioplasty is something to consider?
I have a OCD in my Talar dome, and I first was casted which built a flap over the OCD but did not fill, then I had a microfracture surgery, which did not work, now I just had a Denovo surgery about a month and a half ago, hope this one works this time, cant wait to get back to baseball and football
I had an ankle tendon graft surgery about 14 years ago, due to multiple ankle sprains. I recently sprained this same ankle pretty bad, and my ankle is now swollen extensively. There’s no bruising, just pain and swelling. And I’ve followed normal rice techniques since. I’m not sure what the odds are that I tore the graft or not. I just know I don’t want that surgery again. How does your procedure work, and what is the recovery time?
Had ankle pain since I was 15yrs old which the pain would come and go like a sprain. Managed the pain while playing college football then had surgery at 21 to help which helped for 15ys or so but at 50 the pain is at its peak even while sitting but hurts the worst putting pants on when needing to point ankle in direction to slip on . Had multiple cortizone shots with xray that showed a cartilage may be loose . On top of the ankle pain my opisite knee I have torn meniscus that has got better but with both I have days it's getting to much in dealing with the pain . Honestly can't afford surgery from having to work but even with my high pain tolerance it's wearing me down physically but mentally its become something that has turned me into a asshole which I don't wanna be that guy. Running on empty and daily have to scream at myself to eat the pain and win today.
Dr., I have OCD on my Talus, and I'm afraid they do micro fracturing on my ankle because I'm scared the fibrocartilage will break down eventually and I'm going into surgery again is scaffolding more long-lasting? Can it last a lifetime? Please, help...
Me too, after surgery and now with the medical boot, my doc is about to allow me to walk without it but I feel pain in it, more like a sharp poke inside the ankle. I play competitive sports and this is really tough
Hello, MRI shows 5 x 2mm chondral loose body within posterior joint recess of tibiotalar joint. I experience some pain, in above heel area, but normal function and wondering if i can just leave it there? will things get worse? this occurred as a result of a bad ankle sprain 2 months ago, and was feeling better, started running again, but worried about the loose body..any input is greatly appreciated.
