I Made This Petition to Bring Them Back New Update: reached to 100 supporters signed Who's in?www.change.org/p/cartoon-network-bring-back-cartoon-network-cn-city-and-cn-90-00s-show
Man, Double D and Johnny bravo sure do make a neat dynamic together. Its times like this I wish CN did more crossover stuff with their franchises back in the day.
I love the fact that when you string these together they're basically a cartoon episode in of themselves as they have a running story and gags for the night. Kinda makes it sad though that all this effort was spent on these when a lot of them are probably lost.
@@CosmicSponge2004 You don't understand just how little DVDs can store, how massive these files are, and how quickly DVDs degrade aka you would need to constantly burn them over and over. Most film companies just didn't see the worth in keeping these. Trust me, if they could do it again im sure they would. But it wasn't as obvious back then. Many many prices of media lost to time.
It was coool getting to see cartoons from shows interact with each other and they way they were always busting each others chops made me feel like they were all friends and hung up after their respective shows ended. CN always had cool concepts like that, along with their "Cartoon City" bumpers that showed cartoons just living together in 1 city. Those ideas really stuck with me.
I freaking love this, good times man. To think they didn't have to do any of this. You could really tell they actually gave a shit about not only their cartoons but their audience too. Like it's crazy how late the time slots were like 9 and 10. While the adults are watching NBC and the Tonight Show. The kids got this awesome alternative. Freaking love it.
dodopoopinpoop no true words have ever been spoken. I truly love this block. It was amazing looking forward to this on Fridays. I truly miss how CN cared about the quality of their shows and their audience back then and how they did an excellent job having our own beloved cartoon characters interact with one another.
BlueFridge12 quit complaining. The other times Edd hosted were still good. It didn't matter if it was the same because he still used different dialogue at times
What I wouldnt do to go back in time, I remember rushing home from school, waiting for my dad to pick me up and he would take me to his house and he had cartoon network, i remember i would be glued to the tv for the whole CCF, he would get me a pizza and some ice cream to eat while i watch
+brainstar64 I'm pretty sure they did, they had to get the cast and crew from all different Cartoon Network shows and mash them together into one giant thing.
Yes they did. CN was a risk taker and it paid off at the end because CCF is still one of the greatest programs in CN history. Maybe even better than What a Cartoon!
That was when CN had people in charge that understood good branding. Samples and Kellner didn't. No matter how much people still love the powerhouse era, CN was not doing good business wise in 2002. By the end of it Kellner wanted Samples to alter the schedule block by block. CCF was one of the casualties of that which is how we got Fridays and the dropping of the cartoon cartoon branding. Of course in hindsight you realize the lack of new segments there, the dropping of the powerhouse theme, etc were all consequences of the ratings and advertisers they lost in 2002. In a perfect world where Cohen didn't leave, imagine this level of creativity continuing into the 2000s. Hell if the studio merger had of still happened on time, imagine the other brands having their own version of CCF at some other point in the week. It's all monday morning quarterbacking now, but friendly competition at the same channel may have solved most of the problems.
@@TheOldMPClub You should see it now, where the CHEAP and UGLY flash cartoons like Teen Titans GO!, Thundercats Roar, Total Dramarama, etc. DESTOYED the network where all they care about is money making a quick buck. :( It's very sad what it's come to. :(
The best part about the old cartoon network is that all of our favorite cartoon characters, which is every single one of them, all crossover together. I hope the next generation at least does the same thing with there cartoons.
Modern CN isn't anywhere near as good as the 90's-early 2000's CN. Some decent shows are acceptable but the bumpers and programs are don't go this far!
I'm absolutely sure that Double D. must've been very pissed off @ Johnny Bravo. The fact that Johnny kept interrupting Double D. was more than enough of a reason to be angered with him. Chicken even escalated the situation Of course, I do remember Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, growing up as a kid. In fact, me & my older sibling used to watch C.C.F & Cartoon Network together in general all the time back then. In fact, I continued to watch Cartoon Network until 2007 - 2008 while my older sibling stopped watching it altogether by about 2003 - 2005. I caught onto the newer shows, the newer logo & the newer eras that came along with it. I guess that's honestly 1 of the coolest things about being born in 1995.
This C.C.F episode aired exactly 17 years ago, today. Double D. Remains one of my favourite characters & I have always liked him due to his intelligence & politeness. Along with I Am Weasel & Dave & Ping Pong, he is my Cartoon Idol.
How many hours of exclusive jokes and crossover footage would Cartoon Cartoon Fridays accumulate do you suppose? It's insane that all of this was put together and I weep to think of it being lost to time. I mean, there's surely no official ways to rewatch these, RU-vid is the best we've got, right?
This presentation always made me felt like I was a part of everything I was watching and they connected with you. They just don't do this shit anymore for some odd reason.
Edd hosts CCF but everytime he gets frustrated with Johnny Bravo the Johnny Bravo theme plays and everytime he mentions Sheep in the Big City it gets faster
Man those were the golden days of cartoon network during the late 90s and early 2000s. I remember me and my older sister would go downstairs at night cook some popcorn have some hot cheetos with coca cola and watch double d host Friday night. Also Nickelodeon at its prime time. Nostalgia.
Johnny was pretty much double d's own co host since in one Nickelodeon cartoon cartoon commercial double D and Johnny were the main characters of the promo with buttercup interupting
I think this was written by Amy Keating Rogers and Bill Schultz, but I'm not too sure. But I do know who the voices were Voices Samuel Vincent - Double D Jeff Glen Bennett - Johnny Bravo Charlie Adler - Chicken and I.R. Baboon
The characters in this 2000 block were: Edd(Double D) from Ed, Edd, n Eddy(1999-2009): Sam Vincent Created by Danny Antonucci Johnny Bravo: Jeff Bennett Johnny Bravo (1997-2004) Created by Van Partible Charlie Adler: Chicken/Baboon Chicken from Cow and Chicken (1997-1999) Baboon from I Am Weasel(1997-2000) Creator: David Feiss
Wow, 11 years old, I actually remember edd hosting this lol. Friday’s were popping heavy, right after this adult swim came on and I used to watch “cartoons with cursing” but in reality it was anime lol. Great times
That schedule for the following week which was November 24 2000 hosted by him. 7:00: Host pick - Johnny Bravo: Hunted 7:05: Bonus Cartoon - Cow and Chicken: A Couple of Skating Fools 7:10: .com Pick - Dexter's Laboratory: My Favorite Martian 7:30: Johnny Bravo: Dental Hijinks/Little Riding Hood/Pouch Potato 8:00: Dexter's Laboratory: Sister's Got A Badge/Shoo, Shoe Gnomes/Lab of the Lost 8:30: The Powerpuff Girls: A Very Special Blossom/Daylight Savings 9:00: Mike, Lu and Og: Nobody's Nose/Scuba Doobie Doo (NEW EPISODE) 9:30: Sheep in the Big City: To Bleat or not to Bleat (NEW EPISODE) 10:00: Courage the Cowardly Dog: Hunchback of Nowhere/The Gods Must Be Goosey 10:30: Ed, Edd n Eddy - Urban Ed/Stop, Look and Ed.
Yes, and Edd could summon in the threesome in the same show as the Mayor and Ms. Bellum in order to get even with Johnny and Chicken next time he shares an evening with them interrupting him!
This is a firm case study on what it means to make watching on cable an experience. This was part of CN's success and shouldn't be forgotten. It was MORE than just the shows, you had this extra content that made it worth watching. Nowadays without that extra, your network is just a tool, and if it's a tool people will choose the tool that works best for them, and for most people cable is the least convenient tool compared to streaming, discs and digital downloads. If you fix the channel you must make it worthwhile to leave on again. News channels still accomplish this. Sports channels still accomplish this. It's about time others remembered this.

Thanks. I have been looking for this one for years. It has extremely important sentimental value to me as I this one of the last times I was at my grandma's house before she died.
I remember having a hard time deciding either to play the game my parents let me rent from Hollywood video or watch cartoon cartoon Friday. I would play during commercial breaks and be back in time for the cartoon lol
almost brings a tear to my eye lol. i love how they created this universe of all these cartoons as if they were all friends working together to make kids laugh 😂
(Alternative version) Edd:"Courage, help me out here." Courage:"Yeh? What's up?" Edd:"It's almost time for Sheep in the Big City's debut. So.....what's a 5 letter word for crust, with meat, cheese.....oh, I think you know the answer to that one. You dial." Courage:"You order."
@@jeffcastleman2917 Edd: (in Courage's ear) Here are hints for me to summon in; sugar, spice and everything nice, they have a professor for a father and they live in Townsville, fighting crime and saving the world before time.
