Great game. Bad title. I think Caruana understood it perfectly and chose the best possible defense, but he just didn't see it in advance. There was no escape.
@@emilrefseth769 Not really. Chess is too complicated to expect either player to understand a complex position perfectly. Carlsen probably didn't see the end result from the start either. He just kept the pressure up in the position until it became apparent to both players that he could capitalize with the sacrifice. I'm not saying he was lucky, because he played it brilliantly, but sometimes that's just the way it goes.

@@lgzster I don't think it was that bad. They called the big threats out. Just mute it if you find it annoying. I usually do. Let the beginners understand the game, otherwise it's totally alien to them.
