Well, concidering very few compamies will finance a boat older than 1995, cash would be your only option...unless the owner would carry. So yes, cash is king!!!!
Wow I guess popularity and pandemic crap has put a toll on production. So what are your plans after hurricane season? Myself and some friends that are in Fulton Mississippi area planning to meander around the west coast of Florida and eventually wind up in the keys.
I’m going to make sure I have the cash before I get the boat, but I’m all over the place trying to find the right boat. I know it’s a single engine diesel trawler for 2 people, 4 dogs, and a easy to launch dinghy. I’ll be on a tight budget so I want to avoid staying at docks as much as possible, and stay self-contained. I want everything to be able to work nonstop without the generator except for the A/C. When I sell some stuff, I’ll have a little over 60,000 for all of it, and less than 2000 a month to live on. I’ve got solid mechanical skills, but my lower back won’t let me do major rebuilds. Ideas anybody? 💡
Russell you can do it. Make sure when buying your boat you have room to add solar panels you will need them and having a good system is important. If i were you I would be looking to spend 20K or under on the boat and it will be a trunk style trawler they have decks for the dogs and usually cheaper in price. your solar system and having a good dingy will be very important.

@@Russellsperry yes it’s an Aft Cabin but not a sundeck. A sundeck would be rough for the dogs you really want a Euro but a Trunk trawler are easier to find and cheaper
