Everything Scorcese has made is gold, but the Irishman is his magnum opus in my opinion. The only single thing it lacks is it’s parallel to real events as most of the film was fiction. Casino is a clear number two to me.

I wasn't born in Vegas, but I moved there in 1977. I remember all of it also. I sat in the racebook, in the Stardust, two or three times when Lefty Rosenthal did his live shown on Saturday night at 11 pm { in the football season}. He would make his picks for the Sunday Pro Football games. They had a comedian on the show dressed up in a referee"s uniform with a whistle. He was funny as hell. To me that was the heyday of Vegas!! By the mid-eighties, the influence of the mafia was starting to wind down. It has never been the same since, and never will be.

You have no idea wtf you’re talking about. Mr. Reid was a man. Not perfect. But definitely one of the better ones. Vegas royalty. I wouldn’t expect you to understand. Only that you ppl in the rest of the country come here with all your vices fulfill them and run back home to be hypocrites ! Reid represented NV and our interests very well, hence why we’re making room to supplant him into our history! Forever. X_VegasNative. 🇺🇸🎲🎲
