Once he gets more match play in and his stamina levels return he will be grand, He did very well considering he generally doesnt even get past the 3rd round in MC. The fact he made 2 semi finals out of 3 tournaments when he is not in form shows you he still has a high level even when playing up and down.

Czech. Prohrál, protože nehraje turnaje. Při tréninku to nikdy neni jako v zápasech. Myslim,že bude sezona bez trofejí a taky poslední, mozna předposlední. Doufam,že si opět nevybere měsíc pauzu a pak pojede na další 1000ku. Vysledek by byl opět jediný ...bez praxe a fyzičky už není možné hrát na tak vysoké urovni, aby mohl vyhrávat trofeje. O výběru trenéra ani nemluvím, potřebuje jiného s novym pohledem na jeho hru.

Djoker got tired in the 3rd. UFE-Winners was -1 for him, while for Casper it was +7. The other telling stat was % of 2nd serve points won: Djoker was 36 % while Casper was 56 %.

The Norwegian commentator questioned Novak's form in several of his previous matches in this tournament and mentioned that Novak looked exhausted, out of energy, could have heat problems and looked out of form, and in at leat one of the sets he played he seemed to go completely off. To me it appears that Novak is done and is unable to compete at the highest level. He cannot run as he did and he seems to be very exhausted too quickly in longer rallies. In the final he played at the AO it appeared that he was totally unprepared and unawake the first two sets or so, almost as if he had not slept. It was incredible to watch. I have seen too many strange things with Novak lately and he is very angry at his team, even at a point where he had turned the match to his advantage leading in the second set. The guy is disrespectful and yells at his team like a little brat. He should have been very happy at that point as he had a huge lead in the second set. Am I the only one who see the big problem with his physics in longer rallies? I can clearly see that he cannot compete against Sinner the way he plays now. Sinner played insanely fast against Alcaraz a few weeks ago and Sinner is really good now but he seems to have a style that ruins his body as he has had injury problems lately, although Alcaraz has had so as well though.. Too many great tennis players are getting injuries these days. I do not see Novak winning another slam as he will easily go off energy and cannot compete against the faster young guns. Even Nadal can beat him in the form he is in now. You can clearly see and hear how Novak struggle to reach the ball many times against Ruud (and others), especially in longer rallies. Novak had breathing problems in his previous match in Monte Carlo as well and maybe a light cold. I don't understand how Novak think he can compete against young guys at the age he is now, it is just a very clear sign to me that his reign is actually over.

Unlike Nadal who if he plays, you can be assured that he'll do everything to win, Djokovic take some matches frivolously. He starts bad. He makes baffling choices. Casper's tweener that Novak put into the net is a good exemple in this match. The beggining and the end of the third set, Djoko acted in way that reinjected confidence in Ruud. The Same thing happened in Indian Wells against Nardi. Djokovic started so bad that match vs Nardi who lost to Goffin before being lucky started to gain confidence. He used to master the mind game but lately he sometimes shows up to play while his mind is elsewhere. Besides, playing few tournament is a double edged sword. Djokovic prevent wear and tear but he will likely be rusty. Unable to sustain rallies and maintain a good level throughout a whole match.

Clay is here and players who struggled to make it in the last 6 months are going to make their presence known...

Ha Ha ATP tennis mafia have tried to stop Novak every way they could manipulate court surfaces, times to play, always finding players that have beaten novak put them in his draw maybe they can put casper in next draw.These two players are just such awesome humans as well as amazibg players.
