Castlevania Anniversary Collection Review! - Electric Playground 

Javon James Same here. I agree with the AVGN, they need to make a new classic style Castlevania that plays like Castlevania 4. Every time they make a new classic CV, it plays like Castlevania 3. Part 4 nailed the controls that has always hindered the classic style.

There were GBA games on the Wii U, so I'm certain it wouldn't be a problem.

@@ShyBoy6ty9 They probably look very blurry on a TV, though, especially the character models. Probably even on the GamePad/Switch handheld screen. But maybe if they up rez them at least the environments will look good. But the characters will still look very pixelated. I'm okay with that, though.

They don't have to upscale, just keep the old aspect ratio with black borders. Idk why people should take issue with that if they never had a problem with the GBAs small screen.

My dream collection would be to able to play all the MGS games on PS4. Don't know why Konami hasn't yet remastered them, like they did for last gen.

It's mainly because of the Castlevania Requiem bundle for PS4, I think. That was recently released and comes with Rondo and SOTN. But I agree, they should have included it. I think they really should have just packed EVERY Castlevania on one Blu-Ray. Doing the math, it would have only taken up 30GB of a 50GB Dual Layer disc, and that includes the newer Lords of Shadow games, and *every* alternate version of each game (like the X68000 / PS1 remake of Castlevania, and the 2.5D PSP remake of Rondo). Hell, they could probably even fit all 12 episodes of the damn Netflix series on there too while they're at it. That would have been too much value, I suppose.

Konami alluded to this being volume 1. So there will likely be more collections with more games.

Hopefully that's volume 2. Then volume 3 can be the 3D entries.

Likely because Sony has a exclusivity deal with it, since the recent HD version of SotN is PS4 only.

That'll come in another collection. Konami alluded to this just being volume 1, so there will likely be another collection with the GBA and DS games.

Cause this is for the classic Castlevania fans. Not the Metroidvania games.

I don't see anything wrong with that, though. There's already plenty of games here for volume 1. If Konami releases other volumes with the handheld games and the more recent entries then that's okay in my eyes. I just hate that this is only digital at the moment. That's what I really have a problem with.

Literally the only two games you’re bitching about came in the first collection. That’s like bitching that the Mega Man X Legacy Collection doesn’t include Mega Man 2.
