This game beat the absolute shit out of me back in middle school. I still love it.

Was I the only one who noticed Chaos, on the background, watching the battle between Nathan and Dracula??

What a game! I played this 17 years ago, I enjoyed it very much, but my fav still is Symphony of the night and Supercastlevania IV

Considering that it was the very first Metroidvania for GBA, I'd say it was good. In fact I'd say I liked when it comes to difficulty, atmosphere, music, and time, I'd say it was actually better than some of it's successors. It's nice not to have to worry about getting an imperfect ending just because you didn't get 100% in two different castles, the things you pick up after boss fights are all relevant, and there's actually a challenge. There were things to improve on, but it still succeeds.

So basically, Dracula wanted to eat your Master's soul because he got a case of the classic Nosferatu Arthritis/Rigor Mortis, and ended up moving slower than an average computer trying to run Second life sacrificing speed for offence? Which is even more lackluster given the hyper-speed cover of Dance of Illusions for this fight? Least his second form and music felt like the kind of cumulative theme you'd hear in a choir/orchestra play, I keep thinking I'm going to hear lyrics with a chant of "proof of blood" in it or something.

the ending to this game always makes me cry usually when the castle is crumbling down and the sad music starts playing it always make me cry

I got a secret I after you defeat Dracula first form do not go after Dracula 2nd form yet go to a save point and save by doing this should you die from Dracula 2nd form you won't have to fight his first form all over again

is it normal that when after you reload the save file dracula is still there? cause that's what happened to me.

I got to the bit where he was just an eyeball, but I don't have any summons so fuck that, I'm just watching the ending instead of hitting him forever lol

I absolutely loved this game, perfect modern version of the old style Castlevanias. ^_^ The music, the theme, awesome. Wish there were more characters though, maybe more female characters. Can't wait for the next Castlevania game for the 3DS.

Foi um jogo dificil,memorável e divertido,especialmente a segunda parte do confronto com o Drácula.O cenário, transformação e a trilha sonora daquele confronto...a melhor combinação de toda a saga em minha opinião!

When i played magician mode for the first time and i defeated camilla i thought i broke the game because i was such a low level and gained so many levels as a result, probably like 8 or so before it was done XD

Hit by the Holy Armor and Light Armor Nathan Graves got a huge damage comparison to Dark Armor and Devil Armor. It is prove that Nathan is a dark type human.

ugh. i had to wait an extra year until i improved my skillz in gaming until i could beat this hard ass boss... i get an instant death! and those bats knock me back which takes me forever to get back on my feet. by the time i do he already transformed back. when im almost at the end, guess what, my health is low. then what? gets hit by a bat. quickly transforms then whoops my ass. so much anger and bs that came from this. but it was worth it. a good challenge always makes me feel good in the end.

De haber sabido esto hace años no me hubiera estresado tanto en subir de nivel o encontrar cartas, pero creo que eso hizo que amara este juego que es el mejor para mi, el primero que jugue,

yo me atrevo a decir que es tal vez el dracula mas dificil osea en su version 1 y cuando lo juegas por primera vez ya que tiene algunos trucos que otros draculas en su fase de capa y bolas de fuego son muy simples sobre todo los murcielagos de electricidad que cuando no los conoces, practicamente de hacian decir WTF buen vid :P

muy buen juego, este junto con ecclesia y Dawn of sorrow, son los unicos con los que he batallado con los jefes, y el hecho de que no haya tienda en este juego lo hace aun mas dificil, eso de estar gastando horas para tener un inventario decente es aburrido :S

Hardest dracula battle for me so far

recuerdo la primera vez que lo jugue hace unos anios. este castlevania es epico y el jefe tambien, recuerdo que no podia vencer a dracula hasta que un amigo me dijo las cartas que necesitaba, para encontrarlas estubo dificl pero cuando las consegui porfin pude vencer a dracula fue casi como tu le hiciste no es tan dificil.

¿Malo? no incluso es mejor que SotN, por que es mas dificil y se que muchos diran lo contrario pero ya es cuestion de gustos y los graficos son muy respetables por ser uno de los primeros juegos del GBA.

Circle of the Moon really does have the best soundtrack of the series in my opinion, other than the fact it's GBA quality sound. Damn fine game.

When this game first came out, I always thought Rondo was the better game because it’s canon and also had this edgy “only released in Japan, whoa!” charm to it. But after growing up, I think it’s the opposite: Nathan is so overpowered using his implied alchemy with the DSS, it’s no wonder he and Shanoa are constantly excluded from the franchise. The both of them make it seem like being a clumsy and slow Belmont (except for Julius) actually sucks.

Nathan Summons zapdos then Jonathan Morris will get knock out easily without Aulin.

The first, and IMO, weakest handheld Castlevania game...naturally, I don't consider this one canon anyway, but at the same time always kind of overlooked it...

great game. god awful final boss. no idea how youre supposed to beat it without save states or grinding endlessly for healing items. 8/10

You've been a fan since Castlevania IV, really? Dude, i grew up with the series. i've been playing them since the very first game to come out. Ever since Symphony of the Night, most Castlevania's have been MetroidVania esque game. The series needs to head back in the direction it came from, a linear game style. I don't really care about the sword toting games, i want the whip and all its glory. The only thing it has going for it is the music, and its bland compared to the classics.

My friend was right. Beating this boss was pointless and only gets you a shitty ending. What a bad game. Aria of Sorrow is when Castlevania truly starts. Everything before that is boomer fodder except for Symphony of the Night.
