I started using this 7 months ago form a un-branded oil £16 from my local wheelsfactor.Got this from Asda UK in a sale £23 and the difference it's made was impressive.The noise level while idling dropped massively and my 2002 Yaris (87K) was quiet before using Magnatec.I heard many drivers saying the Yaris does make a little noise but mine was really quiet even before switching.It's quiet as a church mouse when running and i'll keep using Magnatec.
My friend Russell Cochran for Christmas I bought him the two big bottles 5 6 quart bottles of Castrol magnatec with extended life oil filters for both his vehicles he's not a fan of Castrol at all but I convinced him I'm going to start using it myself I use Castrol high mileage but not anymore we're going to give it a try I guess you really won't notice too much of a difference maybe years down the road and you're saying damn this thing still running maybe we'll run a lot smoother who knows but I'm going to switch so there's two new customers thank you
i have used the mag 5w30 mixed with lubeguard engine treatment and liquid moly mos2--for my 2009 nissan altima 4 cylinder worked great to quiet startup noise engine runs great
I will never use Mobile 1! My 2008 Mini with 230,000 miles eats half of the Mobile one oil. Using manufacturer's recommendation,. I use the best oil on the market. Castrol Magnetec!! Mini eats half of this oil every 2500 miles. True liquid engineering! I also got a better mpg,. 0-60 take off speed and over all better engine performance! Not only is it Magnetec, it is a Magnetec oil that stays on sidewall of the engine and never runs the valve train unlubricated during engine cranking. A lot of dealerships are starting to use Magnetec. Oil is not just oil! Penzoil Oil Platnium 2nd place. Experiment using different oil brands! Note the best performance and gas efficiency. Change every 2k miles
I'm going to start using this from now on and see how good my engine will run. I love what i see and i also use liqui moly engine oil additive to my oil for added protection
I ran it in my corolla this past oil change it’s still in there now… seems like it’s a good product I just hate Castrols so expensive around me….. if they just lowered thier prices they could get more customers
Marketing: What Castrol needs to do is show a little more "TRANSPARENCY" along with the other oil companies! Castrol Oil "IS NOT SYNTHETIC"! but a Group lll Mineral Base Oil! Synthetics are Groups lV PAO and Group V Ester. DEXOS2 is the follow up of the GM-LL oils required for GM motors, unless it say´s DEXOS2 in the owners manual you do not need it.
Oil Cling to engine surface like a magnet? tiny metal particles clings to engine surfaces too, some engine has narrow passages that might clogged overtime..
i know?? maybe edge lasts longer and cleans better but magnatech protects better on startup or in older engines? then there is bioedge.. 25% plant oils,, overwhelming

@@RobertG1690 Its all hype. The best oil is the one thats on sale at the moment. Even Walmart's Supertech oil is good quality oil. It really is that simple. The only thing thats important is to do your oil changes on time.
This is such good marketing lol...basically adding a shot of esther base oil to make the oil "cling". This is a natural property of most true/european synthetics already.
Can you please do a segment on single grade motor oil? Especially the HD 30. there are millions of people that live in Florida Texas Alabama Nevada where temperatures are never below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. single weight motor oils are much more stable than multi-weight motor oils. Please do a solid
single grade oil is not good for Florida as in winter months it does get down to 15 degrees on some nights. 10W-30 is one of the best multi grades for Florida.
Just got this from my local Oreilys, Interesting Tech 👍 I wouldn’t doubt the oil can pick up small engine debri composites like carbons. The name FULL SYNTHETIC just sounds FAKE!
Castro makes good adds. Oil is oil. May be they using good quality addictive to withstand wear. Castrol is slightly viscous than other oils like motul or mobil ,etc. Base oils still can race.

I just bought 5 gallons of this stuff because it sounded good and it was $15 a 5quart jug with free delivery. This is for a new Outback, 0-20. Now that I need to change the oil I'm a bit suspicious because the cost was so low. Any comments?
No. I picked up 8 5qt jugs at Advance Auto for $3.15 each here in the Tampa area about a month ago.....obviously couldn’t pass on the price. They told me that there was a new repackage and bottle coming out, but same formula and trying to get out the old green bottle...
At first I thought this said magnetic oil I was like great so instead of the metal shards falling to the bottom they stay in the oil and score the hell out of the cylinders and everything else
Not to nitpick, but most engine blocks and components are made of aluminum, a non-ferrous metal. These molecules are by no means magnetic; there’s something a bit more complex (and likely proprietary) at play here.

Bhai, Service book Main dekhain k konsa oil grade or ACEA recommended ha. Phir us k mutabiq koi bhi oil aap le sakte hain ideally full synthetic. But Europe main 10000 ya 1 Saal k baad oil change karna hota ha to India main max after 10000 change your oil.
@@kissiel021 Group III base oil. Step up from just hydro cracked. Not PAO, but very good as most synthetics use group III these days. Us old PAO purists cringe, but Group III have come along way. They actually out perform PAO in some tests.
No bud, what it means when they say is a blend is that is not fully synthetic is only a mix with conventional oil. Full synthetic is the way to go,the blend version is better than regular conventional oil of course but nothing beats going full synthetic oil. Blend is not fully synthetic.
If you’re asking a question like that about modern engine oils then just take your car to dealership for every single thing 🤦♂️. To answer your questions, all engine oils from over a decade ago have several detergents
Castrol is a vey overrated oil... ALS Global tested a VW MAXI Performance REO 508.88 5w40 with only 270 ppm of Phosphorous. 350 of Zinc, when it should be around 800ppm of P and 900ppm of Zinc... I'm out, put my box to recycle. And VW sent production to Shell.
